NYC Mayor Bloomberg says that religious leaders have no place in the ceremonies commemorating the 9/11 attacks. After all, its not like the terrorists who committed this heinous act were doing it under the guise of their religion!

He also does not have room for many of the First Responders. After all, they only risked all on that beautiful Tuesday morning, and lost much on that day. Many are suffering today the perils that they faced that day.

Now, just days before the 10th anniversary of 9/11, Bloomberg says we must get past the tagged name for the site where the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center– Ground Zero.

     From Reuters:

(Reuters) – People should stop calling the site of the September 11 attacks “Ground Zero,” New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said on Tuesday, urging Americans to move past a term long linked with the World Trade Center’s twin towers destruction.

“We will never forget the devastation of the area that came to be known as ground zero. Never. But the time has come to call those 16 acres what they are: The World Trade Center and the National September 11 Memorial and Museum,” Bloomberg said in a speech on the rebuilding of lower Manhattan.

Ground Zero originated as a term to describe the site of a nuclear explosion and later was used to refer to the point of any dramatic or violent event.

By the time that we emerged from church services on Sunday morning, the media was already painting the Time Square Car Bomb attempt as “home grown”, “Timothy McVeigh-like”, and “right wing lunacy”. Whether it was one of the talking heads, or the likes of the ever-insolent Sen. Charles Schumer, the goal of their voices was to lessen the possibility that the bomb attempt was tied to Islamic radicals, and to create the greater impression that we have more to fear from those “dangerous” individuals, you know, like the Grandma’s in Quincy, Il.

Using one of President Obama’s overused phrases, “Let me be clear”, the members of law enforcement, at all levels, worked swiftly and cautiously in quickly getting this matter to the arrest(s) that have occurred. The federal agencies have shown that they may have learned a thing or two as a result of the Christmas day bomber fiasco and the manner in which they publicly handled it. I believe that is the primary reason that Attorney General Eric Holder personally made the announcement if the arrest of Faisal Shahzad at 1:30AM today.

Despite reports that the suspect claims to have worked alone, we have now learned that there have been several arrests in Pakistan this morning, possibly some family members and others.

So, instead of adopting their stance of political correctness, downplaying the role of Islamic radicals, perhaps our “leaders” should make that a primary focus in our ongoing intelligence situations, and cease painting the Tea Party Grandma’s as violent threats!

Luke Rudkowski Framed in “Classic Set-up”

Calling in to the Alex Jones show today, WeAreChange founder and political activist Luke Rudkowski said he was set-up for arrest at the Hilton Hotel on Manhattan last Saturday. Luke was at the hotel in order to ask New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg about his refusal to help with the medical costs of 9/11 first responders. Bloomberg had promised to address the issue but has since ignored the pleas of WeAreChange and others to help first responders.

Rudkowski said Bloomberg’s security detail and hotel security claimed he would not leave the hotel. Luke told Jones he asked to leave the premise on numerous occasions and was not allowed to do so.

We’ve had eight, maybe nine press conferences behind that “Office of the President-Elect” emblem, and these press conferences have been used as the means that Barack Obama has introduced is Cabinet and advisors. He has made a “team” display of his appointments, presenting his financial team, his national security team, his health care team.

But in light of the developments this week with Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s “Pay to Play” corruption scandal, the President-Elect is desiring to step back from the press, to avoid their questions, particularly becuase they are questioning his lack of outright anger at the Governor’s actions. So today, intstead of another press conference to introduce his choice for the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Obama made the announcement quietly in his radio/YouTube address. Shaun Donovan, who has worked with New York’s Mayor Bloomberg on New York City’s housing issues, will be the new head at HUD.

Is this the open transparency we can expect for the next four years (assuming he is eligible to be President….. oh, that’s a different news thread!!)??
