In five days, the midterms elections of 2014 will be OVER (with perhaps the exception of a runoff in Georgia and/or Louisiana). With any luck, we will know clearly on the night of November 4th how the checks and balances within our Constitution will be set up. Of course, we then have to hope that those in “leadership” do the correct thing!

So how do you see the 2014 Elections play out?

And then on November 5th, we start all over…… toward NOVEMBER 8th, 2016

The chatter is getting a little louder as the time draws closer. Hillary Clinton will make a decision to run for President, presumably in early 2015.

At the same time, speculation is growing that our present FLOTUS may have her eyes on the Senate seat in Illinois presently held by Sen. Mark Kirk (R). Kirk, a stroke survivor, has shown himself to be a fighter, battling his stroke to return to the duties of being the junior Senator from Illinois. But if a powerhouse figure such as Michelle Obama were to enter the race to challenge him in 2016, escpecially of Hillary is at the top of the ticket, does Kirk have the fortitude to wage that type of battle? Chicago’s Mayor Rahm Emmanuel (D) is also one who would be a beneficiary of a run by both Hillary and Michelle. Pollsters are showing that his reelection prospects are in trouble, but if both Hillary and Michelle were on a November 2016 ballot, he might ride their coattails back into office for another term.

Of course, all this assumes that the American electorate could stomach MORE Clinton years and MORE Obama years.

From The Week:

Yet Bush has also netted more than $2 million from his work as a board member with Tenet Health Care, according to The New York Times‘ Michael Barbaro. That tie could prove troublesome for Bush if he runs for president in 2016 because Tenet, Barbaro writes, “aggressively encouraged Americans to sign up for insurance under the [Affordable Care Act] and trumpeted the legislation as a boon to the company’s finances.”

‘I was given every s*** job in the world by Obama’: Biden makes astonishing  revelations about his relationship with the President as it’s claimed he was  ‘frozen out’ by White House over gay gaffe

  • Vice President Joe Biden reveals he  willingly took the President’s more ‘bothersome’ tasks but in turn wanted to be  included in major decisions
  • The deal was kept for the first term but  after Biden said he was ‘absolutely comfortable’ with gay marriage before Obama,  he was frozen out
  • He was allowed to attend strategy  meetings and wasn’t happy when Obama’s team didn’t refute rumors about him being  replaced by Clinton
  • Now the relationship is  beginning to thaw but he is plagued by the prospect that Obama and his advisers  want Clinton in 2016 and not him

From Rush Limbaugh:

Pat Caddell said yesterday on Fox News that the reason Republican leadership has not pushed for a higher-level investigation of the IRS for targeting the Tea Party is because they want the IRS to go after the Tea Party. When you have 71% who want an investigation, 64% who believe it is a sign of corruption, including nearly a majority of Democrats, the reason is the establishment Republicans want the IRS to go after the Tea Party.

Got it?

They want them to go after the Tea Party because the Tea Parties are an outside threat to their power hold. I’m telling you, the lobbying-consultant class of the Republican Party and Republican leadership, who have been attacking the Tea Party and alienating them, they want the IRS to do this. That’s why there hasn’t been any establishment Republican pushback on the IRS. It’s almost safe to say the Republican establishment might be willing to lose a couple of elections if it meant getting rid of the Tea Party; because it’s clear, folks, they don’t want to win any elections the Tea Party can claim any credit for.

from The Blaze:

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) made a bold prediction about the remaining presidential elections in his lifetime during an interview with Glenn Beck that aired Thursday.

“I think Republicans will not win again in my lifetime … unless they become a new GOP, a new Republican Party,” Paul said evenly. “And it has to be a transformation. Not a little tweaking at the edges.”

Paul remained noncommittal about his own speculated presidential ambitions, but said he believes people “from both parties” would rally to a candidate that said “we just need to turn over on all this” and advocated issues like term limits, reading the bills, and single-purpose bills.

The senator expressed little interest in the formation of a third party.

“I think that … you can transform a party,” he maintained. “…I’ve worked for a third party candidate, a guy that was my dad. It’s very difficult. The laws are set against you.”

The newest story comes from the UK, with details about an alleged relationship between the former Commander-in-Chief and actress Elizabeth Hurley:

Extraordinary claims Elizabeth Hurley had a year long affair with President Bill Clinton after he flew her to Washington for  sex, have surfaced in the U.S.

During their first secret tryst his wife Hillary was asleep in the next  room.

The astonishing claim comes after a tape of the actress’s former boyfriend Tom Sizemore was found describing  how he set Hurley, 48, up with the Clinton following a private screening of  Saving Private Ryan at the White House in 1998 – scroll down for the audio.

The then President called the actress saying “Elizabeth, this is your  Commander-in-Chief. I’m sending a plane to pick you up in three hours. Is that  enough time?”

from the New York Times:

After Senator Elizabeth Warren spoke at a luncheon in Beverly Hills, Calif., last month, women from the audience swarmed around her, many of them asking the same question: will you run for president?

Ms. Warren’s fiery speech at the national A.F.L.-C.I.O. convention this month set off even more excitement, with some union members standing on their chairs applauding and shouting out to her. And when she joined a MoveOn.org conference call this summer to promote her student loan legislation, 10,000 people got on the line — the liberal group’s biggest audience on any conference call in four years.

In Democratic circles, disappointment in the promise of the Obama presidency and unease over a possible restoration of the Clintons have made the senator, who was sworn in just 10 months ago, the object of huge interest and the avatar of a newly assertive, fervently populist left eager for a more confrontational approach to politics.

Ms. Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, said in an interview that she was not interested in seeking the presidency. And despite talk of a draft movement among some activists, it is difficult to imagine her taking on former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

From the SharkTank:

Senator Marco Rubio is probably adrift on his boat somewhere down in the Florida Keys, as he is vacationing with his ‘familia’ before hitting the road again to make his case to defund President Obama’s Obamacare law.

Rubio, along with Senators Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, and others, is pushing to exclude funding for Obamacare in the upcoming short-term budget negotiations.

Rubio’s road trip could also be perceived as an immigration reform damage control play, as many Floridians took issue with him over his amnesty-lite policy shift on the immigration issue. It is fair to say that Rubio sustained a self-inflicted near-death blow to his reputation and political career when he embraced liberal Democratic Senators Charles Schumer, Dick Durbin, and John McCain, in co-sponsoring the Senate ‘Gang of 8′ immigration reform bill.
