     Vice President Joe Biden says that if the Congress fails to pass ObamaCare, the concept of universal healthcare will be “kicked back” for a generation. He said the “window” for ObamaCare is slowly closing.

Is Obama Ready for that 3:00 AM Phone Call?

     During the campaign, the advertisements and debates made jokes with the “3:00 AM” phone call to the next President. Now that he has “ascended” to his media-annointed throne in the Oval Office, is Barack Obama really prepared for that 3:00 am phone call?

     The answer to that question, and the “testing of his mettle”, as the gaffing Vice President Biden predicted, may be just days away. In fact, they may occur while he is out of the country on his next Muslim tour.

      Today, North Korea “tested” a nuclear bomb. Russian intelligence has confirmed that an underground test has occurred in the northern regions of North Korea. Some reports indicate that the powerful test might have encompassed the magnitude of the bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima in 1945. In addition to the North Korean nuclear bomb test, as well as the missile tested by Iran with solid fuels earlier, comes the rantings of the Iranian President Mahmood Ahmadinejad that he is not discussing ANYTHING with the United States, and will discuss “global issues” with powers that are in “cooperative” frameworks.

        The hour is near, as Joe Biden said it would be six months. Are we ready for the way that Obama will handle that phone call?

     On an appearance on the “Today Show”, gaffable Vice President Joe Biden issued the same travel warnings to the American public that he has given his family:

     Not since President Grover Cleveland has a United States President NOT attended the Gridiron Club Dinner. So, of course, President Obama opted out of attending the dinner.

     Taking the podium, Vice President Joe Biden tried has hand at comedy. Here are a few of his jokes:

“I’m going to be brief. Talk about the ‘audacity of hope,‘”

      “I am the experienced veteran,” Biden said at the dinner, the Politico reported. Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel “can be an enforcer, and Tim Geithner is always there when you need to borrow money – “no questions asked.”

“[Obama] can’t be here tonight, because he’s busy getting ready for Easter,” Biden said. Speaking in a whisper, he added, “He thinks it’s about him.”

“You know how the outgoing president always leaves the incoming president a note in his desk? I opened my drawer and Dick Cheney had left me Barack Obama‘s birth certificate.”

Turning to the suffering newspaper business, he disagreed with those who say they’re obsolete. “I recently got a puppy, and you can’t housebreak a puppy on the Internet,”

Chief Justice John Jay and The Basis for a Commander-in-Chief who is a Natural Born Citizen

      John Jay was one of the intellectuals who helped guide our Great Nation through its fight for independence to establish our great Republic. As the Constituional Convention met and framed what would become our Constitution, John Jay and George Washington, knowing that the first group of leaders had originally been subjects of the British crown, did not believe that the Commander-in-Chief should have alliegiance or ties to any other nation. Thye knew that the leaders in the early years would be the initial US citizens, who were originally British subjects, and they framed the Constitution with that in mind.

      John Jay spelled out the foundation for the requirement that the Presient and Vice President be “Natural born” citizens of the United States:

        John Jay wrote: “Permit me to hint, whether it would be wise and seasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government; and to declare expressly that the Commander in Chief of the American army shall not be given to nor devolve on, any but a natural born Citizen.”  (The underlining is as it appears in his writings).

     Let us be clear, that the type of family loyalty that a US Senator from Illinois, on taxpayer dollars, used to help his cousin campaign in his native land of Kenya, is the exact dual loyalty that our forefathers were acting to prevent!
