The New Revolution Has Begun

Without the use of firearms, the New Revolution has officially begun, the “shot being heard around the country, around the world”. What began as grassroots movements of people, from all walks of life, taking to the phones, the internet, the blogsphere, to the streets, and most of all, to the halls of Congress, to voice their angst over the unbridled growth of our government, the massive intrusion into our private lives, and the need to remind our elected officials and public servants that they work for us, We The People.

From the same battlegrounds where our forefathers watched for the British troops during the Revolutionary War, the citizens of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts fired this first shot, and with the greatest of expectations, we hope that the White House and Congress can “hear us now”, and that they are now listening to the voice of the people.

This is not a Democratic issue or a Republican issue, nor is this simply the machinations of the Tea Party movement. What we are seeing as this New Revolution takes shape is Americans, of all socio-economic backgrounds, all races, all religions, taking possession of our freedoms and our liberties. This New Revolution is the awakening to fact that our leaders have been shifting the Republic away from its fundamental roots, its core values, its major strengths. In sheer boldness, the initiatives of a Progressive movement, for more than a century, have come from behind the covers of “political party” affiliations to reveal their real and true colors, and we, the American citizens, are not willing to be led down that path of Progressivism.

The New Revolution will call upon Americans to be more aware of the political news, the issues that we as a Nation are facing. It will ask that each American stand up for our rights, our freedoms, our liberties. We must demand through our voice at the ballots, that our elected officials represent the voice of the people, and that we hold them accountable to such goals as term limits, fiscal responsibility, state sovereignty, limited federal government, respect of life, respect of marriage, a respect for the Constitution, and strong national defense.

America is the greatest nation on earth, and if this Republic is to survive, we must make sure that the leadership we place at the helm shares the ideals and goals of the People, and that they steer this great nation on the path that our forefathers set us on more than two centuries ago. Let it be known that from this moment on, We The People, will accept nothing less than the Republic that our forefathers formed; that this is our moment, our time, our patriotism as the New Revolution moves this Nation forward.
