The Senate voted 90-6 to concur with the House of Representatives in barring any funding for the closing of the detention center at Guantanomo Bay, until the Obama Administration has a PLAN for the Closing.

It is being reported that one of the detainees, involved in one of the bombings in the late 1990′s, will be taken to New York City and put on trial. The FBI had handled their investigation as a crime scene, and the evidence supports taking the detainee to trial.

Late yesterday, 4 men were arrested in New York, based on a possible terrorist attack being planned on a synagogue in the Bronx, with an additional threat of the use of shoulder rockets to target the military planes that would have been flown in.

Finally, Iranian President Ahmadinejad proudly acknowledged the test firing of a missile with a target capability of 1200 miles. This makes it able to reach Israel or any of our bases in the Mideast region. Further, the missile is said to have solid fuel, which is of great importance, because, unlike the Korean missile that was fueled on the launch pad, the Iranian missile could be rolled out on a moments notice.

So, do we feel as safe today as we did 9 months ago?
