As the holidays and the New Year draw near, the rumors continue to swirl about the staffing changes in the Obama Administration.

The change that is drawing the most press is the possible appointment of Ambassador Susan Rice to be the next Secretary of State when Hillary Clinton leave the top-Diplomat post next month. Despite all of the controversy that she has created in light of her carrying the KoolAid for the White House in their alleged cover up of the Benghazi debacle, which left our Ambassador and three other brave heroes dead at the hands of TERRORISTS on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the White House seems willing to expend a great deal of political capital at the very beginning of the 2nd term in order to “reward” Ambassador Rice.

In light of what is known about Benghazi thus far, and the many unanswered questions, is Susan Rice the correct choice to fill Hillary’s spot?

Richard Holbrooke was meeting with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Friday when he collapsed. The diplomat was taken to George Washington University Hospital, and he underwent more than 20 hours of surgery for a tear in his aorta.

The Special Envoy to Afghanistan was in critical condition all weekend, but a short time ago, it was announced that Holbrooke had passed away at the age of 69.

Holbrooke has been referred to as a “towering figure in American foreign policy”. His role in our foreign policy is evident in the outpouring off well wishes that his family was receiving throughout the weekend from diplomats worldwide.

On an issue that had been discussed when President Barack Obama first appointed NY. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton as the Secretary of State, a State Department employee has filed a lawsuit alleging that Clinton’s appointment and confirmation are unconstitutional.

With JudicalWatch in the background, Clinton’s appointment violates the Constitution because she is barred from the position because the salary for the Secretary of State was increased by Congressionla vote while Clinton was a US Senator. The Constitution prohibits this, in what appears to be an effort by the forefathers to amke sure that one did not use one position to increase their personal benefit in another position.

It was believed that resetting the salary for the Secretary of State to its prior level saysified the Constitutionality of her appointment. Today’s lawsuit challenges otherwise. Is the birthcertificate on the horizon?

The battle for Gov. Patterson’s “golden” appointment of a replacement for the Senate seat of our incoming Secretary of State, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, has turned into a family affair. New York’s Attorney General Andrew Cuomo (son of former Gov. Mario Cuomo) and Caroline Kennedy (Daughter of the late President Kennedy) are the top top named contenders for the appointment. Andrew Cuomo was married to Caroline Kennedy’s cousin.  The relationship between the two contenders is even deeper than that, since Cuomo was a very close friend of Caroline’s brother, John Kennedy Jr., and he took on the role of family representative and spokesperson when John Kennedy’s plane crashed in 1999.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that  New Yorkers favor Cuomo  over Kennedy as Sen. Clinton’s replacement. Many politicos are still defending Kennedy’s qualifications, but many believe that it will come down to the person who can carry more clout withthem into the Senate chambers, and many believe that despite her name recognition, Cuomo has the better qualifications to serve as the junior Senator from New York.

The Senate Foreign Affairs committee voted on Sen. Clinton’s appointment as Secretary of State, which sends the confirmation to the full Senate for a vote next week, which most say is merely a formality.

She has been the First Lady of the State of Arkansas, then she was the First Lady of our great country. In 2000, she made history by being elected to the New York Senate, a first for a First Lady.

Today, former First Lady, turned NY Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton made history again, being confirmed as the Secretary of State in the Obama Administration. The Co-Presidency has been established…… this truly is historic.

Reports from the Obama Presidential transition team are showing the New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is on the short list of prospective candidates for the coveted position of Secretary of State. A source within the transition team said has confirmed to the Associated Press that Sen. Clinton met with President-Elect Obama at his Chicago office. There was an obvious “double contingent” of Secret Service agents onsite, since Sen. Clinton has a Secret Service detail assigned to her because she is a former First Lady.

Sen. Clinton’s office did not confirm or deny any meeting, except to say that she had no “official public schedule” for Thursday.

Obama, who had campaigned on the pretext of “Change” coming to Washington, is surrounding himself with Washington insiders and powerbrokers. The selection of Sen. Joe Biden as his Vice President was just the first selection that shows that Obama is counting on the “Politics as usual” network to move his agenda. Rahm Emanuel as his Chief of Staff and Ron Klain as Biden’s Chief of Staff add to that network plan. Both men had positions in the Clinton Administration, and Klain led the recount battle in Florida for Vice-President Gore in 2000.

The two Cabinet positions being watched carefully by the world in general, and the global financial markets in particular, are the Secretary of the Treasury and the Secretary of State. Sen. John Kerry has publicly lobbied for the Secretary of State position, and Rep. Chuck Hagel has also been mentioned for the position. Putting Sen. Clinton in that role has many positives for Obama, including the high level of international respect that is accorded to her and former President Bill Clinton. But the greatest benefit to Obama would be in having her within his Administration as opposed to in the Senate where she can be a vocal challenge to him, and where she could, if she wanted to rebuke tradition, challenge a sitting President for the Party nomination in 2012.

For the Change President, it is looking more and more like the same old Washington and the same old Clinton people!

In Tom Cruise’s Jerry Maguire, Cruise and his co-star Cuba Gooding Jr., have a great scene where the line is ” Show me the Money!!”. In the case of Sen. Barack Obama, the chant will be “Show us the Proof”!!

Continuing to avoid the requests from Pennsylvania attorney Philip Berg,  Sen. Obama refuses to produce any documents which have been legally requested in Berg’s lawsuit. Now, in Washington State, a lawsuit has been filed against the Secretary of State to challenge Obama’s name on the ballot for the General Election.

Steven Marquis of Fall City, WA, alleges very similar items as Berg, and states that the Secretary of State (Sam Reed) has a duty to ensure that the candidate on the ballot meets the qualifications.

In addition to this newest lawsuit, another blogsite has reported speaking with Michelle Obama, who is enraged that her husband’s patriotism and citizenship are being questioned. If the conversation is true, Mrs. Obama states that its no big deal that Obama was “adopted by his stepfather” (Lolo Soetoro).

I am not questioning Barack Obama’s love of this country, but I believe that he should show the respect that our flag and our anthem represent. To make the argument that we are an “oppressor” is to fuel the charges of those who hate us already.

And, it is so simple to resolve this matter: Show us the Proof !!
