Rick Sanchez’s Arrogance (& Ignorance) Leads to his Termination @ CNN

CNN anchor Rick Sanchez has grown progressively more arrogant over the past few years, and it has shown on air. Though never one void of controversy, such as his DUI manslaughter incident, touting his “minority” status as a Hispanic and the challenges (?) it created for him led to his downfall.
Ever a target as fodder for Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart, Sanchez referred to Stewart as a “bigot” and also made references to Glenn Beck as “predjudiced”. These comments were not his downfall. When he went on to say that CNN was run by the same type of people as Hollywood/ Jon Stewart…. that “Jews” cannot claim minority status or discrimination (paraphrased), CNN must have decided that he had crossed the line.
With a brief press release, CNN simply stated that Rick Sanchez was no longer a part of CNN.
Always one for the dramatic flare, Sanchez has probably already called for interviews…….. perhaps at FOX News!

Left attacks at RedState.com

from Erick Erickson at RedState.com:
The leftists of the world are in full cry mode over me pointing out Ted Kennedy is to blame for Scott Brown getting elected. It is a simple truth that even Rick Sanchez had to admit, on CNN, made sense.
Nonetheless, some silly leftist emailed me at my city council address a link to a thread at a leftwing site where they are attacking me for speaking truth to idiots. And, just to make sure I knew he/she/it knew who I was, he/she/it put at the bottom my both mine and my wife’s name, along with our home address and old non-working phone number.
Extra points for that.
By the way, here is the Rick Sanchez segment:
CNN Sanchez Doesn’t Want to Discuss Healthcare or Terrorism with Sen. Ensign

Senator John Ensign Goes On CNN To Talk About Terrorism, Gets Ambushed By Rick Sanchez on Sex Scandal
Would low-life Rick Sanchez ever ambush a Democrat like this?
Let me remind everyone about a story in 1990 of Rick DUI Leaving the scene Sanchez:
On December 10, 1990, Sanchez struck a pedestrian, Jeffrey Smuzinick, with his car on a residential street near Dolphin Stadium after Smuzinick darted into the road. Smuzinick was paralyzed and eventually died in an assisted living facility in 1995. Sanchez, who had just left an NFL football game with his father (and left the scene of the accident), was not charged with causing the accident, but was charged with and pleaded no contest to DUI.

CNN’s “Olbermann” Rick Sanchez claims to “Once & For ALL” debunk the Birth Certificate Issue

Rachel Maddow and David Shuster each spent time on their respective MSNBC shows last night (Shuster, filling in for Olbermann, was nearly as intolerable). CNN’s Rick Sanchez, known for his melodramatics, is now acting as the CREDIBLE SOURCE for the Obamanots to thoroughly debunk the birth certificate conspiracies.
Now I have complete faith in this “unbiased” journalist with DUI Manslaughter in his past!
Note: Why, if this story is so far-fetched under the guise of tin foil, is CNN and MSNBC giving it the amount of airplay that they are?
Drunken CNN Rick Sanchez Kills Pedestrian, Yet Blames Glenn Beck for “Inciting” Killings in Oakland and Pittsburgh
April 9, 2009 in Campaign 2008, Campaign 2010, Campaign 2012, Capitalism, Economy, Family values, Politics, socialism, Terrorism, Uncategorized | Tags: Anderson Cooper, Bill O'Reilly, CNN, Glenn Beck, MSNBC, Obama birth certificate, Pres. Barack Obama, Racism, Rick Sanchez, Sean Hannity | 12 comments
CNN has hung their survival on a racist like Rick Sanchez, hoping to capitalize on his Hispanic ties.
Sanchez has taken to the airwaves to attack the “gun toting” rhetoric of Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly, and Sean Hannity. He claims that their rhetoric is inciting the populace, and is racist in nature and offensive. Sanchez has gone as far as to claim that the police officers gunned down in cold blood in Pittsburgh this past weekend were victims as a direct result of Glenn Beck’s Rhetoric.
Rick Sanchez knows about “killings”. He knows what it is like to take an innocent person’s life. He knows what it is like to have a few too many beers at a Miami Dolphin’s game. He knows what it is like to use his automobile to run down an innocent pedestrian AND CONTINUE DRIVING. He knows what it is like to need “another beer” to calm his nerves BEFORE returning to the accident where his victim DIED. He knows what it is like to realize that in his moment of stupidity, the one thing most important to him was “how will this affect my career”.
Guess he was lucky that the pedestrian was drunk too, enabling Sanchez’ dead career in Miami to lead to his career at the near-dead CNN.
So, Mr. Sanchez, instead of denigrating Glenn Beck or Bill O’Reilly for their discussions about the Obama administration attacks on our 2nd Amendment rights, how about questioning the reasoning behind a community “celebrating” the life of a criminal who took the lives of four Oakland Police officers, touting him as a victim. When twenty years after the life you took, show some humility and remorse in the way you denigrate the true victims of the stories you so biasly report.
BETTER YET Mr. Sanchez, you’ve never been that great of a journalist, perhaps you should simply resign and let someone with integrity in their journalistic ethcis finally emerge at CNN… it would certainly be a breath of fresh air for that network so full of bull and bias!

MSNBC, CNN, NBC adopt WACO Movement: War Against Conservative Opinion
April 9, 2009 in Campaign 2008, Campaign 2010, Campaign 2012, Capitalism, Economy, Family values, Politics, Terrorism, Uncategorized | Tags: CNN, David Shuster, Glenn Beck, Keith Olbermann, MSNBC, Obama birth certificate, Pres. Barack Obama, Rick Sanchez, Sean Hannity, WACO | 1 comment
Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, and Rick Sanchez have begun the WACO Movement: They are running scared in their markets and thus must use their methods, known as the WAR AGAINST CONSERVATIVE OPINION:
From NewsBusters:
The War Against Conservative Opinion (WACO) took an interesting turn on Saturday when liberal bloggers blamed right-leaning media members — in particular, Fox News’s Glenn Beck — for the shooting deaths of three police officers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Since then, MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann and David Shuster have echoed this insanity on the air, as has CNN’s Rick Sanchez who also pointed fingers at Fox News’s Sean Hannity.

NOTE: Mr. Sanchhez is well versed in “the killing field”, as this comment from another blog indicates:

Well Sanchez sure knows alot about killing people, seeing as he plowed an innocent person while he was drunk behind the wheel leaving a Dolphins game in 1990 leaving him to die on the side of the road while he “went home to get his license”. Disgraceful reporting disgraceful individual
