College Prof Pushes for “Obama Vote” Pledge From Students

So much for the concept of “Free Thinking”
A citizen, whose nephew attends Brevard Community College, reports that he brought home the below bookmark pledging to vote for President Obama. The bookmark and pledge was handed out during a mathematics class taught by Assistant Professor Sharon Sweet. This occurred “while the student was in class at the request of his College Algebra teacher, Sharon Sweet, from Brevard Community College in [Melbourne] Florida.”
On the tear away GOTTAVOTE.org pledge form that students recieved, was the requirement to “state their party affiliation”. The student reported that Sweet has repeatedly stated her personal political views in support of President Obama in class. The student noted, “There is an older gentleman in the class that will argue with her but he said most of the students did not.”
Should Obama Campaign Rep Stephanie Cutter Be Fired?

By now, everyone has seen the Obama PAC ad of Joe Soptic, which implies that his wife died as a result of Mitt Romney’s actions at Bain Capital. Forget the facts: Mrs. Soptic was on her own health insurance, that GST offered Mr. Soptic a buyout, that Mrs. Soptic got sick several years after her husband was laid off from GST. But those are just facts.
Obama campaign rep Stephanie Cutter “laughed” when Wolf Blitzer asked her about this ad on CNN, and went on to say she knew nothing about the facts….. but….. Joe Soptic gave his story to a conference call in May hosted by ….. Stephanie Cutter. And Mr. Soptic, he appeared in an ad put out by the Obama team’s Organizing for America even before the May phone conference call.
Is anyone out there astute enough to question the filming of these ads, which are supposedly by two separate organizations? Hhhhmm. Mr. Soptic has on the same shirt in BOTH ADS.
There has been no word from Obama or the White House that would say that they thought the latest Soptic ad was false and misleading. And the laughing Ms. Cutter being caught in a blatant boldfaced lie.
Should the Obama campaign dismiss Ms. Cutter?
Obama Recruits to “Strengthen Democracy”

The community organizer who became president has launched a massive pre-reelection year campaign to assemble and train an army of new community organizers to carry Obama’s “movement forward for years to come.”
Strengthening “our democracy” presumably has something to do with reelecting the revered leader in 2012.
However, the Organizing for America recruiting message says nothing about politics or election campaigns and strangely talks in military terms of “a grassroots program that aims to put boots on the ground and help foster a new generation of leaders — not just to help win elections but to strengthen our democracy in communities across the country.”
The same Obama campaign group was reported to be involved in stirring the ongoing Wisconsin protests against Gov. Scott Walker‘s budget plans.
The message about what it calls the “Summer Organizing Fellowship” adds: “Effective organizing doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It takes commitment, time, and hard work to build a movement around a cause.” It does not specify what the “cause” is, other than promoting Obama and his agenda.

Obama’s Organizing for America Playing Role in Wisconsin Protests

DNC playing role in Wisconsin protests

The Democratic National Committee’s Organizing for America arm — the remnant of the 2008 Obama campaign — is playing an active role in organizing protests against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s attempt to strip most public employees of collective bargaining rights.
OfA, as the campaign group is known, has been criticized at times for staying out of local issues like same-sex marraige, but it’s riding to the aide of the public sector unions who hoping to persuade some Republican legislators to oppose Walker’s plan. And while Obama may have his difference with teachers unions, OfA’s engagement with the fight — and Obama’s own clear stance against Walker — mean that he’s remaining loyal to key Democratic Party allies at what is, for them, a very dangerous moment.
OfA Wisconsin’s field efforts include filling buses and building turnout for the rallies this week in Madison, organizing 15 rapid response phone banks urging supporters to call their state legislators, and working on planning and producing rallies, a Democratic Party official in Washington said.

“Together We Thrive”: White House Says they Had No Involvement in Planning, Etc.

In a comment on another post, someone took a bit offense to the questioning of the “Together We Thrive” motto and t-shirts being questioned. I have never heard of a memorial service being “named”, or the issuance of commemorative souvenirs…. I could be wrong!

Even as Robert Gibbs was being questioned about the tone that came out of the service last night, the White House was making efforts to distance themselves from the planning of the service.
The following was posted on Organizing For America (you know, the CAMPAIGN arm of the Obama Administration):
For too long Americans have been set one against the other, it is a side affect of a free market society. How can profits be maximized, how can I get the work done for the lowest possible costs. This continually sets one group against the other, especially in the blue collar sectors of America. It has become a part of the American Business model, whether it was indentured servants, slaves picking cotton, sharecroppers, the industrious people that built the railroads or todays migrant workers. As long as we remain divided, fighting for the scraps that America has to offer it will be one group against the other.
What I see in Obama is a chance for a revolution. A chance for every group to participate and be heard; A chance to live the American dream that has been denied to so many. Together we can and will change the world and return America to the shining beacon of Hope and Prosperity that we were and that we can be again. Only when we work together do we accomplish feats that rival any ever accomplished in the history of mankind. Diversity is our strength, that is what this campaign brings us a promise of. For many this is a scary prospect and thought, getting to know someone different from myself. We all want the same basic things for example a safe place to live, health and a quality education for our kids.
In a previous career, I was the global leader of Diversity for a global fortune 500 corporation, I have studied the affects of diverse groups working together and the results can not be denied. Together we Thrive!!!!!!!!!!!
Hhhhmmm… Together We Thrive!
Interestingly enough, the post appeared in FEBRUARY 2008, and it was being “floated” as the campaign slogan for Obama’s 2008.
So it begs the questions:
Who had the idea of developing a mantra for a memorial service to honor the victims of a deranged gunman?
When it was decided that a mantra was needed, how did this mantra get chosen?
Who thought that souvenirs at a memorial event were needed?
Who paid for the souvenirs? Did the party holding the trademark for “Together We Thrive” license it for use for the memorial service?
I will be asked “What does it matter?”. It matters if David Plouffe or his minions had a hand in this, capitalizing at the expense of the victims of a tragedy. It matters if Plouffe had a hand in giving the campaign rally tone for what should have been a solemn event. Was Barack Obama himself was a party to this…. most likely not. But we know that his Administration adheres to the philosophy of never letting a crisis go to waste, even a tragedy like the shooting in Tucson.

UPDATE: University responds to FOXNation.com:
Many Americans were startled to see University of Arizona students distributing t-shirts at the memorial service in Tucson yesterday. On the front of the shirts, “Together We Thrive” was printed, along with a trendy logo.
University spokeswoman Jennifer Fitzenberger told FoxNation.com “it was our idea to do the t-shirts.” She said distributing merchandise at a memorial was appropriate and rejected the charge that the University over-commercialized the service. “Our intention was to have something to remember after the event…something that symbolizes our community’s spirit…which would live on.” When asked if the University had worked with the White House or any partisan groups on any level regarding the t-shirts she said “no.”
Fitzenberger insisted the University made no money from the “Together We Thrive” t-shirts and they weren’t for sale. “We took the idea to University of Arizona BookStores and they contracted it out with a vendor.” Reports put the cost of the t-shirts at $60,000.
FoxNation.com spoke to representatives at University of Arizona BookStores who revealed the vendor they used….”Youth Monument,” a Los Angeles-based company specializing in “the hottest” college brands. “I don’t feel comfortable commenting on the story,” said Nick Ventura when contacted by FoxNation.com. Ventura called himself “a partner” at Youth Monument. When asked if the University of Arizona was a regular client and if there was any contact with the White House or any political group he responded “no comment.”

Ohio School Under Fire for OFA Internships; Violation of School Policy

In a Feb. 1, 2010, letter obtained by FoxNews.com, Gregoire apologized to parents, saying the incident was “not acceptable.”
“We apologize that your son or daughter was given this information without approval,” Gregoire wrote. “This error in following Board Policy has been addressed and has been clearly communicated to staff.”
The government teacher at Perry High School in Massillon, Ohio, handed out forms recruiting students to intern for Organizing for America, a grassroots organization with direct ties to the Democratic National Committee and the successor organization for Obama for America.
Included on the forms was a suggested reading list that included Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” and Organizing for America’s mission to build on the “movement that elected President Obama by empowering students across the country to help us bring about our agenda of change.”
No Republican equivalent was offered to the students, according to Perry schools’ Superintendent John Richard.
In an interview with FoxNews.com on Wednesday, Richard acknowledged that distribution of the forms violated school policy and said they were never submitted to school administrators for approval, but the teacher remains on the job.
“We don’t take sides politically, nor should we, and we certainly would not support students being indoctrinated politically or religiously or anything along those lines,” he said.

AtlasShrugs: Recruiting Radicals in High Schools

Recruiting Radicals in High Schools
Barack Obama is using our public school system to recruit for his Alinsky-inspired private army. Organizing for America (OFA), formerly Obama For America, is recruiting in our high schools to “build on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering students across the country to help us bring about our agenda” – that is, his agenda of socialism for the United States of America.

Chuck, a reader of my website AtlasShrugs.com, has a daughter in the eleventh grade in a public high school, Perry Local in Massillon, Ohio. The teacher in her government class passed out a propaganda recruiting paper – headed with Obama’s distinctive “O” logo — asking students to sign up as interns for Organizing for America. You can see the entire intern recruiting form at AtlasShrugs.com.
And what will these “interns” be force-fed? The mother’s milk of the left — anti-war agitation, anti-capitalism, Marx, Lenin, Ayers, LGBT agenda promotion, global warming, pro-jihad, and illegal immigration. For starters. Maybe “Ellie Light,” who has in the last few weeks published the same Letter to the Editor supporting and defending Obama in over a dozen newspapers across the country, can give lessons in astroturfing.
The form carries a recommended reading list, including Rules for Radicals by the notorious hard left community organizer and Obama mentor Saul Alinsky; two Huffington Post articles by Zack Exley, “The New Organizers” and “Obama Field Organizers Plot a Miracle.” The first of those, published in October 2008, enthuses about “an insurgent generation of organizers” inside the Obama campaign that has, “almost without anyone noticing … built the Progressive movement a brand new and potentially durable people’s organization, in a dozen states, rooted at the neighborhood level.”
During the 2000 presidential campaign, Exley operated the website www.gwbush.com, which was filled with lies about George W. Bush that were designed to kill his chance to become President. The site’s headline was “Just Say ‘No’ to a Former Cocaine User for President.”
Also included on the OFA internship recommended reading list are Stir It Up: Lessons from Community Organizing and Advocacy by the leftist activist Rinku Sen, and sections of Obama’s book Dreams from My Father dealing with his days as a community organizer in Chicago.
And what is the point of all this propaganda and community organizing? To elect more Democrats, of course. This internship program is geared towards the 2010 elections, using our kids as the Democrats’ goons. The internship form begins with a nakedly partisan and propagandistic appeal: “Organizing for America, the successor organization to Obama for America, is building on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering students across the country to help us bring about our agenda of change. OFA is launching a national internship program connecting students all over the country with our organization on the ground – working to make the change we fought so hard for in 2008 a reality in 2010 and beyond.”
Can you imagine if the Republicans attempted such a stunt? Obama is using the public school system to help ensure Democratic victories in 2010, 2012, and thereafter.
This is incredible. And evil. And it is no accident. Obama is poisoning our public school system. He acts as if it’s his own private recruiting farm. This isn’t the first time, either. In September 2009, all public school students were forced to listen to his creepy speech about working hard in school. During the campaign the Obama camp had “Kids for Obama Parades.” And public school teachers more than once were caught indoctrinating children into the Obama cult. Remember the uniformed children chanting about how Obama had motivated them to succeed? P.J. Gladnick wrote about that video at Newsbusters in October 2008 that it was “reminiscent of North Korean kids chanting out their praises for the ‘Dear Leader.’” And don’t forget those many videos of public school kids singing brainwashed tunes of Obama praise.
Long before he was President, Obama’s camp had targeted children and started building a cult of adulation around their hero. The children’s book Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope by Nikki Grimes sets Obama up as a demigod: “Ever since Barack Obama was young, Hope has lived inside him. From the beaches of Hawaii to the streets of Chicago, from the jungles of Indonesia to the plains of Kenya, he has held on to Hope. Even as a boy, Barack knew he wasn’t quite like anybody else, but through his journeys he found the ability to listen to Hope and become what he was meant to be: a bridge to bring people together.”
And now once again our perverse public school system abandons academic standards and achievement, replacing them with radical leftist activism from leftwing Alinsky indoctrinators.
Children must be advised to expose this ugly propaganda. Children must tell their parents how they are being used and manipulated. Parents, warn your kids. Better yet, home school. Don’t let Barack Obama recruit his drones from your family.

Obama’s OFA Reaches to the “Next Generation” of Voters: High Schoolers

A rather disturbing document surfaced on the Internet Saturday with grave implications concerning how the Obama administration is recruiting interns from public schools to assist in advancing the President’s agenda along with his desire to get Democrats including himself elected.
Even scarier, the internship application recommends participants read Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals.”
According to Pamela Geller at Atlas Shrugs, this document was passed out in an eleventh grade class in Massillon, Ohio:
An Atlas reader, Chuck, has a student in the eleventh grade in an Ohio High School. Her government class passed out this propaganda recruiting paper so students could sign up as interns for Obama’s Organizing for America.
Here’s the scary overview:

Ellie Light Speaks

from Politico:
Well, the mystery may be over. A woman who said her name was, in fact, Ellie Light called this morning into the radio show of Michael Smerconish, a national talker based in Philadelphia who has been friendly to Obama, to clear things up.
“I’m only me,” she said, identifying herself as a traveling nurse who works for 13-week stretches at hospitals around the country, and whose primary residence is in Southern California.
“I need to own up – I did misrepresent my home town in some places,” Light told Smerconish. Her logic in faking the addresses is one familiar to advocacy groups: “If I thought it was written by a neighbor of mine, I would give it more credence.”
Light mused on why the letter was so widely circulated: “My letter was pretty darn good. It took a long time to write. I took more interest in honing it than most people take today.”
