on “Morning Joe” where the crew speculated as to why Obama Senior Adviser David Axelrod has been so “agitated” and “upset” in recent TV appearances. Mike Barnicle openly wondered if the Obama Campaign’s internal polling is showing something that has really got them worried. Time’s Mark Halperin believes the Obama Campaign planned to have this election won “during the summer” while they had a huge money advantage. But from this point forward, Halperin said Obama is going to be outspent by Romney. Halperin said the Obama people believe if they do not have the election in hand by the time of the nominating conventions (Weeks of August 27 and September 3), they will be in trouble.

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski receives an email from the White House only one hour after she reported Democrats have received over $1 million in donations from foreign sources.

Brzezinski tells the audience, verbatim, what the White House emailed to her about the “campaign contributions thing”:

“It’s not their [Democrats'] entire message, it’s an attempt to shine a bright and unmistakable light on the fight that these corporate interests have an ability to participate anonymously in our democracy ultimately to the severe detriment of Americans,” she read.

“To the degree that it underscores what is an unholy alliance between Washington and the Republicans and these big corporate special interests, it’s an important voting issue for millions of Americans,” she finished.

from Newsbusters:

Gee, I wonder which network Joe had in mind . . .

Joe Scarborough likes Haley Barbour.  But he doesn’t like the “optics” of the southern governor running for president against Barack Obama.  Scarborough’s worried that “certain networks” would “maul” the man Scarborough referred to as “Boss Hogg.” [H/t reader Ray R.]

Interestingly, both the Politico’s Jim VandeHei and Tina Brown of the Daily Beast were able to see more of an upside for Haley.  VandeHei described him as best among Republicans at articulating conservative principles, while Brown saw the hands-on governor’s potential as the “un-Barack.”

Also revealing was that in praising Barbour, Scarborough focused solely on Haley’s willingness to stand up against the “crackpots” in the Republican party.

Watch as Joe tiptoes his way through the minefield of MSNBC’s internal politics.

Brit Hume in a commentary about Tiger Woods suggested that Woods seek the precepts of Christianity with regard to “Forgiveness”. His comments sent MSNBC’s bobbling head Keith Olbermann into an expolsion:

But on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”, Brit Hume got support from Joe Scarborough:

Olbermann is entitled to his views and opinions, and is allowed to spew them ad nauseum, but because Brit Hume evoked GOD in the conversation, he is open to chastisement from the Left. Olbermann…. get a life!!

I agree with Newsbusters, time to get the popcorn ready…. this will be REAL Reality TV:

Pour some more butter on the popcorn . . .

Yesterday, Obama press secretary Robert Gibbs took shots at Howard Dean and his opposition to ObamaCare, suggesting the good doctor didn’t know what he was talking about.

It was payback time this morning, as Dean announced that he would “not vigorously” back Pres. Obama’s re-election bid.

The former DNC Chairman expressed his tepid support for Obama, Part Deux on today’s Morning Joe in response to new poll data indicating Pres. Obama’s popularity, and public support for ObamaCare, have fallen to all-time lows

Joe Scarborough Mocks and Mimicks Keith Olbermann on Expected Spin of Dem Losses – Video 11/2/09

Here is video of Joe Scarborough today mocking Keith Olbermann in a hilarious mimicking of what he said last November and what he will probably say tomorrow night to try and spin Obama’s losses in races in Virginia, New Jersey and New York 23rd District.

Veteran White House reporter Helen Thomas on Monday advised the Obama administration to stand down and avoid further fighting with Fox News and its correspondents. In an interview with MSNBC, the columnist — who is promoting her new book on presidents and their campaigns — also stressed the White House ought to “stay out of these fights.” “They can only take you down. You can’t kill the messenger,” said Thomas, who has covered every president from John F. Kennedy to Barack Obama. Whether the White House takes her advice, however, is another story. Just this weekend, Senior Adviser David Axelrod charged Fox was “not really a news organization.” And Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel twice insinuated the channel was a danger to the craft of journalism itself.

“Morning Joe” Scarborough catches the ire of his co-host Mika  Brzezinski for his candor at the shocking announcement of Barack Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize announcement. Laughing, Joe says that Marisa Tomei had done more to earn her Academy Award for “My Cousin Vinnie”. While on the air, a “Sr. White House Advisor (Jarrett or Axelrod?)” sent a message to the MSNBC WH correspondent, telling her to let Joe know he needs to stop being an asshole!. Now, that’s professional… that is mature!!

Max Blumenthal’s new book “Republican Gomorrah” is seen as an attack on the Christian Right. Joe Scarborough takes the author to task on his talk show “Morning Joe”:
