The Screen Actor’s Guild has been actively trying to get a new contract for its members, but talks have been stalled, and now, as the economy continues to be troubled, many of the marquee-named actors are standing up against the SAG management reagrding a Strike Vote.
Sally Field, George Clooney, Helen Hunt, Kevin Spacey, Morgan Freeman, and Alec Baldwin are among a growing group of actors that say that now is NOT the time for the actor’s to go out on strike, now is not the time to put many others out of work because of a strike.
While their politics may tend to lean toward the left, their actions in the strike discussions show that their are times where their politics is not as important as what the right thing to do is.
