from Hillbuzz:
Congressman Allen West is a future United States President.
The man is going to change everything someday: he will personally destroy the Race Industry, and will more likely than not provide the final clobbering to the Cocktail Party GOP establishment.
I swear, I want an action figure of Allen West sitting on my desk inspiring me to write letters like the above to terrible people.
West is the perfect VP choice for 2012…and presidential pick in 2020.
Go, West, Go!

Maxine Waters to Obama “Jobs” Aide: “Let Me Hear You Say “Black”"

WaPo) — A top aide to President Obama got a public grilling Monday night from black lawmakers and civil rights leaders, who vented frustration at a jobs forum here that the administration was not doing more to directly help distressed black communities.
Tensions rose when Don Graves, executive director of the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, told a lively crowd of hundreds in a black church sanctuary that Obama was “focused on every community across the country.”
When he added that “certain communities have been hit harder than other communities,” one lawmaker pressed him for specificity.
“Let me hear you say ‘black,’” said Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.).
As the crowd erupted in cheers, Graves responded quietly: “Black, African-American, Latino, these communities have been hard hit.”
The exchange illustrated an emerging tension between some black lawmakers and the country’s first black president over the disproportionately poor economic conditions in the African-American community, where unemployment stands at 16 percent.
Obama and his aides say all Americans including blacks benefit from broad-based policies. But many black lawmakers and civil rights leaders want direct, targeted aid — and some worry that Obama’s pursuit of white independent voters might make him reluctant to advocate for blacks.
Will the CBC Allow GOP Members?

I’ve long wondered why every Republican in Congress does not submit an application for membership in the Congressional Black Caucus. Whether they are black or not, all of these men and women have blacks in their districts — and if the goal of the Congressional Black Caucus is to help black people, then why shouldn’t anyone who wants to help black people be allowed to be a member of this august body?
I remember that soon after Joseph Cao won his Congressional race in Louisiana he asked to join the CBC, but it refused him membership — because he is Vietnamese and the CBC discriminated against him based on his race. Because his district had a large black population, Cao endeavored to become part of the CBC so that he could better serve his constituents. His skin color, however, was not dark enough for the CBC. Apparently, there are paint swatches kept at the door to strictly enforce the rules of admittance.
Lt. Colonel Allen West would pass the “skin test” — but will the CBC allow him to join because he’s a Republican?
If the GOP was smart, it would keep the CBC busy as much as possible going through the motions of denying various people the right to be part of this body.
How much tax money goes to support this racist organization, rooted inside the House itself?

Financial Reform Bill: Racial Quotas for BizLoans
August 12, 2010 in Campaign 2008, Campaign 2010, Campaign 2012, Capitalism, Economy, Family values, Politics, Uncategorized | Tags: Business loans, Community Reinvestment Act, Dodd Frank Financial Reform, Maxine Waters, racial quotas | 2 comments
Buried deep inside the new “financial reform” law is a scheme to force affirmative action on small-business lending — a “reform” with ominous implications for the US economy.
Aimed at curtailing supposed discrimination, the race-based lending mandate is guaranteed to have perverse effects — just like the drive for “racial fairness” in mortgage lending paved the way for the subprime crisis and the 2008 financial meltdown.
The new Dodd-Frank banking law sets up a data-collection system to monitor small-business loans for racial bias. Lenders must report if a business that applied for a loan is minority-owned, and whether the application was rejected.
Charlie Rangel Takes the Floor to Challenge Ethics Complaint, basically saying “Bring It On”

Rangel, now Waters: Ethics Issues Loom for Pelosi and the Swamp

Let’s be clear: there have been ethical issues on both sides of the aisle.
In 2006, as she took the gavel as Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi vowed to “drain the swamp” and have the most ethical and transparent Congress (Note: Pelosi and Obama use the same dictionary for “Transparency”.) Yet, for more than 18 months, the Speaker has carefully protected the 4th ranking member of Congress, Rep. Charlie Rangel.
Rangel, a decorated war hero, turns 80 soon, and there are now calls from his colleagues for him to resign instead of going through a Congressional trial to answer the 13 ethics charges, which include tax violations, fundraising issues, and other key ethical violations.
Politico.Com is now reporting that a source within the Congressional Ethics subcommittee that has been investigating Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Ca) is saying that Rep. Waters will elect to go through a trial just like “Charlie” to answer ethics charges. Waters charges will undoubtedly relate to the use of her position for bank funds for a bank that her husband sat on the board of, without her revealing the conflict (Of course, Maxine is one of the members of Congress who use their maiden name, like Rep. Jan Schakowsky….. at least Mrs. Boxer uses her married name!)
With midterm elections a mere three months away, can Pelosi convince BOTH Rangel and Waters to resign?

The problem is not on Wall Street, it’s in Washington !!
1999 article about the pressure to create sub-prime mtgs for minorities and unqualified buyers.
“Fannie Mae, the nation’s biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits.”
