Drew Peterson, the “person of interest” in the disappearance of his FOURTH wife, 23 year old Stacy Peterson, and the target of the investigation into the now-ruled homicide of his THIRD wife, has announced that he is engaged to be married. His fiance, whose identity Drew won’t reveal (because he doesn’t want the media to get to her), is also 23.
The retired cop jumped into the national spotlight when his young wife disappeared. The couple has two small children, as well as custody of Drew’s two son’s from his third marriage. Drew Peterson has several adult children from his earlier marriages (one ex-wife is still alive, and the other died of natural causes). Drew alleges that Stacy ran away, possibly with a boyfriend. However, after the body of wife #3 was exhumed and subjected to another autopsy, the accidental drowning was ruled homicide, and Drew was tagged as a prime suspect. This gave more credibility to Stacy’s disappearance being related her knowledge of what happened to Wife #3.
Of legal interest is the fact that, on Drew’s premise of Stacy’s disappearance, he is still a married man. Of course, its not unusual to get a divorce from someone who simply abandoned the family. But, in this high profile scenario, the legal discussions with the judge should be very interesting. Then there is always the route of having Stacy declared dead, but that process has certain prerequisites, and that angle then points back at Drew Peterson.
Finally, what is the IQ of this newest woman to fall under the charms of Drew Peterson? Four wives; 1 dead naturally, one mysteriously drowned in a near empty bathtub, and another who has just vanished. The odds just aren’t good for this young lady!!
