Romney Blames Obama for Iran Mess: ‘Apology Tour Isn’t Working’
Former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass., …blasted President Barack Obama’s handling of U.S. foreign relations, accusing him of “apologizing for America” and arguing that Obama flipped “180 degree” on Iran’s nuclear program.
al Qaida Criticizes Obama’s Address to the Islamic Nations

Pres. Barack Obama will address the Islamic world, the 57 states as he recalls, but his words will have no bearing on a non-state, al Qaida.
CAIRO – Al-Qaida’s deputy leader on Tuesday criticized President Barack Obama‘s upcoming speech to the Islamic world in Cairo, saying it will not change the “bloody messages” the U.S. military is sending Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan. Al-Qaida has repeatedly lashed out at Obama since he was elected, a move some analysts believe indicates the terrorist organization is worried he will be effective in improving the U.S. image in the Muslim world.
Obama has pitched his speech at Cairo University on Thursday as a key part of that process.
“His bloody messages were received and are still being received by Muslims, and they will not be concealed by public relations campaigns or by farcical visits or elegant words,” said Ayman al-Zawahri, al-Qaida‘s No. 2, in a new audio message posted on militant Web sites.

Obama v. Cheney: The Veep Comes out on Top
May 21, 2009 in Campaign 2008, Campaign 2010, Campaign 2012, Capitalism, Economy, Family values, Politics, socialism, Terrorism, Uncategorized | Tags: Barack Obama, Dick Cheney, GITMO, National Security, Obama birth certificate, Osama bin Laden | 9 comments
Vice-President Dick Cheney has become a vocal and ardent critic of the Obama administration’s actions regarding our national security, and in the court of popular opinion (but not reported in the mainstream media), it appears that Cheney’s message is being heard and understood. After receiving his defeat from the Senate on GITMO Closing funding, the President prepared to give a speech, at the National Archives, to outline his commitment to resolving the legal issues surrounding the detainees, the CIA, etc., and to basically address Cheney’s claims.
The media will likely hide the fact that Obama’s speech, date and time, were arranged AFTER Cheney’s speech had been announced. The Obama administration wanted it to appear that it was reversed.
The Vice President was clear and unequivocal on what was done in the Bush administration, and how the Obama staff were thinking more in terms of politics than in terms of national security. Both of these speeches are historical in nature, as it is unusual for the former Vice President to challenge the present President. But Dick Cheney has said that 9/11 changed all of us, and we must view our policies, past, present and future, in those terms.
Closing GITMO, Detainee to be tried in NYC, and 4 Terrorists arrested in Bomb plot in Bronx, Iran fires a test missile– Do you feel as safe as you did 9 months ago?

The Senate voted 90-6 to concur with the House of Representatives in barring any funding for the closing of the detention center at Guantanomo Bay, until the Obama Administration has a PLAN for the Closing.
It is being reported that one of the detainees, involved in one of the bombings in the late 1990′s, will be taken to New York City and put on trial. The FBI had handled their investigation as a crime scene, and the evidence supports taking the detainee to trial.
Late yesterday, 4 men were arrested in New York, based on a possible terrorist attack being planned on a synagogue in the Bronx, with an additional threat of the use of shoulder rockets to target the military planes that would have been flown in.
Finally, Iranian President Ahmadinejad proudly acknowledged the test firing of a missile with a target capability of 1200 miles. This makes it able to reach Israel or any of our bases in the Mideast region. Further, the missile is said to have solid fuel, which is of great importance, because, unlike the Korean missile that was fueled on the launch pad, the Iranian missile could be rolled out on a moments notice.
So, do we feel as safe today as we did 9 months ago?

More Fuel for ACLU: Obama Considering Detention of Terrorists on US soil without Trials after Gitmo closing

This action will undoubtedly send the left wing into a frenzy! But because Obama so quickly tried to fulfill his campaign promise of closing GITMO, he did so without a plan of action and without full consideration of the consequences. Now, as with the enhanced interrogation photos, he must backpeddle:
Obama mulls ‘indefinite detention’ of terror suspects
WASHINGTON (AFP) – As part of its plans to close Guantanamo Bay, the Obama administration is considering holding some of the detainees indefinitely and without trial on US soil, US media reported Thursday.
President Barack Obama’s “administration is weighing plans to detain some terror suspects on US soil — indefinitely and without trial — as part of a plan to retool military commission trials that were conducted for prisoners held in Guantanamo Bay,” The Wall Street Journal said.
The proposal, which is part of the administration’s internal deliberations on how to deal with the prisoners ahead of a planned closure of the controversial US military prison next year, is being shared with some lawmakers, it added.
White House officials contacted by AFP had no immediate comment on the detainee deliberations.

Obama Policy Promises run into Money Snag on Capitol Hill: Dems won’t fund without a Plan

After basically giving the Obama administration an open checkbook in the form of the economic stimulus package, and then followed it up with the massive omnibus bill, it seems that the President is running into a few snags in fulfilling one of his key policy promises: Closing Guantanomo detention center!
Expecting a “rubber stamp” approval of his funding request for the Gitmo closing, his own party said that it would be fundamentally improper to fund the President’s request since there is no plan in place as to the specifics of the closing.

Telling Obama and Holder “No Thanks” and Why? Lawyer refuses to participate in Justice Dept. Detention Policy Panel
May 1, 2009 in Campaign 2008, Campaign 2010, Campaign 2012, Capitalism, Economy, Family values, Politics, socialism, Terrorism, Uncategorized | Tags: Attorney General Eric Holder, Barack Obama, detainees, enemy combatants, Eric Holder, GITMO, Larry Sinclair, Obama birth certificate, Pres. Barack Obama, President's Detention Task Force | 4 comments
Andrew C. McCarthy has respectfully declined to participate with the President’s Detention Policy Task Force, as he had been invited to do by Attorney General Eric Holder.
In his letter to the Attorney General, McCarthy writes:
Given your policy of conducting ruinous criminal and ethics investigations of lawyers over the advice they offer the government, and your specific position that the wartime detention I would endorse is tantamount to a violation of law, it makes little sense for me to attend the Task Force meeting. After all, my choice would be to remain silent or risk jeopardizing myself.
He ends his letter with:
“I am powerless to stop the president, as he takes these reckless steps, from touting his Detention Policy Task Force as a demonstration of his national security seriousness. But I can decline to participate in the charade.”

While He’s “Declassifying” Documents & Releasing Photos to Embarass the US, perhaps the Obama should release…. the real Birth certificate, perhaps, or maybe his college records!

Exclusive: Let’s Declassify Obama’s Birth Certificate Along With the ‘Torture’ Memos
In the Obama administration, a lot of information has been recently declassified and publicly distributed. Memos detailing enhanced interrogation tactics of Jihadist terror detainees (or, as the left defines it, torture) and photos that allegedly show the abuse of these detainees by their American captors are the first – but not likely the last – in the declassification queue.
The intent, in the eyes of our president and his advisors, is noble: to introduce “transparency” and to “make up” for the mistakes of the Bush administration. After all, we want al Qaeda and its copycat Jihadist terror organizations to like us. What better way than to put on the public relations equivalent of a hair shirt and prostrate ourselves in front of those against whom we have “sinned”?

Enhanced Interrogation Techniques vs. Torture; Legal Counsel Memos released, but the Memos about the Results remain “Classified”; Obama vs Cheney on a “War of Words”

President Obama campaigned on the promise of ending “torure”. Of course, he had neither served in combat or intelligence operations, nor had he yet seen the intelligence briefs that “raised the hair on the back of his neck” on November 5th, 2008.
Thus, he has commenced his campaign promises by ordering Gitmo closed, and in releasing the memos of the Bush Administration from the legal counsels that supported the “enhanced interrogation techniques” of the detained TERRORISTS that came into our custody. A war of words has ensued, with the President changing his statements that “no on should be prosecuted” to “I will leave that up to the Justice Department, and Vice President Cheney requesting the memos on the outcome of the EIT’s be declassified and released.
So, what is your opinion?
