Sen. McCaskill Urges “Open” ObamaCare Negotiations

McCASKILL CALLS FOR C-SPAN MONITORED REFORM NEGOTIATIONS

Senator Claire McCaskill, a Missouri Democrat who usually backs the Obama administration on everything, has called for an end to the Obama-Reid C-SPAN blackout.

She also backs open health reform negotiations in the conference committee format that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi want to circumvent. Here’s an excerpt from her statement:

As I said to Channel 4 in St. Louis on Monday, it’s my opinion that we should open up any further negotiations between the House and the Senate to C-SPAN so the public can watch. I believe that the best way for these negotiations to occur is through the conference committee process, and I have communicated my opinion to the leadership of my party in the Senate.

The Harry & Nancy Show: Looking to “By-Pass” Transparency in ObamaCare; Dems are afraid of the Will of “We The People”

     “We the People” have our legislators running scared. They are so scared that they are ramrodding the ObamaCare package down the throats of the American public. And they are doing it in Secret; They are doing it with no debate. The fallout is already occurring. Democratic Sen. Dorgan has announced that he will not run for his Senate seat in the Fall. The handwriting is on the wall.

      The Harry and Nancy Show, by avoiding a Conference Committee to merge the two versions of Obamacare, will avoid having the dealmaking made publis, at least before the voting process. This major legislation, which has now been called an “inalienable RIGHT”, and likened to the Civil Rights landmark legislation, has no bipartisan support.

     Let us make no mistake whatsoever– ObamaCare is NOT healthcare reform. It is the newest in the creation of the Obama entitlement society. That is not to say that there are not some good items in the ObamaCare, but they are far overshadowed by the overbearing Big Government. The mandates in the ObamaCare are, without any debate, UNCONSTITUTIONAL. The government CANNOT force an individual to BUY something they do not want, let alone fine an individual for said failure. Now, as of today, 14 States are battling over the special “buy-vote” corruption deals that were made to get the votes for the legislation. As of the 14th state joining the challenge, it is now no longer a Republican issue.

     The Harry and Nancy Show are intenet on IGNORING We the People. EVERY POLL, whether on a left or right site, show that the American public overwhelmingly do NOT SUPPORT this ObamaCare. It is true that most Americans believe that there is a need to reform the healthcare system, but most feel that ObamaCare is not the answer. If the Harry and Nancy Show is forced to do the “negotiating” in the public forum, they know that the American public would revolt againstv their corruption and tyranny.

      So, I will ask again, is there any one of our members of Congress, particularly on the Democrats side, that is our Wilberforce, our leader to stand up against Harry and Nancy, saying NO to this Obamanation!

CSPAN Reminds Obama about the Meaning of “Transparency”

     It seems like CSPAN has decided that they should hold President Barack Obama to the “letter” of his “WORDS” to be the most transparent Presidency, to have the healthcare negotiations on CSPAN for all of America to watch and see!!

Pelosi Blocks Access to ObamaCare Unveiling: a Sign of Care under ObamaCare?

GOP: Pelosi blocked us from announcement

The Speaker’s office was apparently, ahem, selective about who they let attend Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s big health care announcement on the West Front steps of the Capitol this morning.

People who showed up were asked for ID and told the bill unveiling was a “private event.”

One GOP-friendly observer tramped over to the west exit of the Capitol to attend — and was greeted by a pair of Democratic staffers standing at a bike barrier, who asked if he was a member of the press or on the RSVP list.

When he said he wasn’t, they politely turned him away and suggested he watch it on C-SPAN.

Obama and CSpan

     While CSpan is often overlooked, and often showing the mundane, albeit even boring, they were able to sit down with President Barack Obama this week, and they did elicit a few newsworthy notables:

        ON Supreme Court nominee:

                         Obama noted that he is looking for someone who has the legal intellect to interpret the laws, but who else can put “himself into the shoes” of the party, and decide if the law does or does not apply. This follows his “empathy” definition. The nominee is expected to be announced in the next few days, and Obama wants confirmation hearings by July.

         On Our Financial Crisis:

              “We Have no money” was the basic premise of Obama’s comments. We are borrowing, and running on major deficits. But he said nothing about slowing down his spending!!

          On George W. Bush

                     Pres. Obama acknowledged that he has been in contact with Pres. George W. Bush on more than one occasion since he took office in January. In deference to the former President, Obama said that he would not go int details about their conversations. While it had been noted in the press that the two had spoken once since Inauguration day, it did come as revelation that there had been more conversations, particularly in light of the Obama v. Cheney sparring that has occurred over the past few weeks.

     One thing that is for sure, Obama is quickly finding that governng and making the decisions is not as easy as campaigning and making promises based on non-information!

CSpan Broadcasted the White House Correspondnet Dinner Live, but had audience & ratings competition with Obama Media Network (OMN)

      In past years, unless you tuned into CSpan, the highlights of the White House Correspondents Dinner were shown as news clips by the major networks and cable TV.

     But, alas, the “Change We Can Believe In” tour has come to Washington DC, and the “Red Carpet” event was broadcast by TWO channels CSpan and OMN. For those unfamiliar with the OMN, that is the acronym for the “Obama Media Network“, which is usually referred to as MSNBC.

      Christian Slater, Steven Spielberg, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore— a few of the celebrities that attended the function.

       CSpan also showed a writers forum which had been held on Friday. One of the speakers had been a writer on the “West Wing”. Obama’s election has made her feel as “though I have died and gone to heaven“. My recollection of the Bible’s description of Heaven is that the streets are paved with gold, not the BS that is spewing from the White House and Capitol Hill.

Madoff Whistleblower: “I gift wrapped and delivered the largest Ponzi scheme in history to the SEC”; They had no clue what to do with it!

     Harry Markopolos, of Independent Financial Fraud, testified before Congress today about Bernie Madoff, his Ponzi schemes, and the research that he presented to the SEC, of which all was ignored until the economy caused Madoff’s house of cards to begin to crumble. The video, from CSPAN, shows that the SEC was not capable of handling the information that was presented to them, even as well “gift wrapped ” as Mr. Markopolos made it for them. The video is 12 minutes long, but worth listening to Mr. Markopolos.

It seems that, according to Mr. Markopolos, only the “tip of the iceberg” has been uncovered in the Madoff schemes.
