“Baby Daddy” Obama Sr.: A “Slippery Character”

     Barack. H. Obama II would not be the first high-profile person whose ancestry had dubious characters in it. In today’s Internet age, he certainly won’t be the last. Having released his long-form Hawaiian birth certificate, which he has fought hard to keep under wraps, Obama has tried to lay that part of his hidden past behind him. From all indications, under the premise that the birth certificate is accurate, Barack Obama is listed as having been born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961 to a father of British citizenship and a mother who was an American, giving the child dual citizenship status. That would move any question of his eligibility to be President into the legal interpretation of “Natural Born Citizen”, and the intentions of the Founding Fathers in that regard. Of course, as with any legal question, the experts are split.

      So the experts can debate the validity of the long form birth certificate.

       Support for it validity can be found in one of the unscrubbed Obama records trails.

       As mentioned in an earlier post, the Boston Globe had requested in a FOIA request the immigration files on Obama’s father. The Globe, one of the Kool-aid drinking media, actually had the files in 2009, and could have helped dispel the birth certificate issue then. But, given the manner in which the present day media annointed Barack Obama to the Presidency and have done whatever necessary to protect and defend him (especially as his lack of leadership skills has become clearly evident, i.e. The Empty Suit), it is no surprise that they were not revealed until just recently.

      The 55 pages of documents make for some interesting reading.

      What is gleaned from the files is that Obama Sr. was a womanizer and a bigamist, if not a polygamist. The government had received several calls of concern from a parent whose daughter wanted to go back to Kenya to marry him after he left Harvard.

      Stanley Ann Dunham and Barack Obama were purported to be married on February 2, 1961. (No marriage record has yet been found, but given divorce papers a few years later, it can be presumed that the record exists somewhere).

      Baby Obama is notated on some of the forms filled out by Barack Sr., and left blank on others.

      There is support for the reports that Stanley Ann Dunham had planned to (and likely did) attend the University of Washington the semester after Obama’s birth, as there is a note in the file that indicated that Stanley Ann (and child) resided with her parents in Hawaii, and Obama Sr. resided elsewhere in Honolulu.

       Barack Obama (II) was born on August 4, 1961, and Obama Sr’s Student VISA stay expired on August 9, 1961. He applied for his extension on August 31, 1961, and was granted a stay through August 9, 1962.

       There is a record of another woman who was in the US at the time Obama Sr was at Harvard, and she went to London. The government informed the British authorities of issues about her, and her boyfriend Obama, describing him as a “slippery character”

      All in all, the file makes for interesting reading in some places. But it begs the question, in light of Obama’s “Dreams of His Father“, who was Obama really writing about, or, if the book was in fact written by someone like Bill Ayers, as has been suggested, what was the purpose of book at all.

      If Obama wants to cast the story of his American tapestry, his non-existent father should only be a blip on the screen. How his mother raised him and influenced him until she shipped him back to the States to his grandparents?…. that is the fabric of his story. The role as the father figure in his early years that Lolo Soetoro had… that is a part of the hemming. The grounding that Toots Dunham gave him, and the influence of Grandpa Dunham and his associations with the likes of Frank Marshall Davis……….. these sew the fabric together, providing the insight into his later decisions, like sitting in Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years as he spread his venomous vitriole. The bigger question then becomes, how does all of this early influence affect the decisions that he makes today? This is a question that only history will be able to provide the answer, after the American public has suffered because of it, IMHO.

Gov. Abercrombie: “Little Barry, That’s What We called Him”= Story Not Adding Up!

For reasons clear to no one just yet, Hawaii’s new Democrat governor, Neil Abercrombie, has gone public with his desire to silence the so-called “birthers” with proof of Barack Obama’s Hawaiian birth.

“Maybe I’m the only one in the country,” Abercrombie told the Los Angeles Times just before Christmas, “that could look you right in the eye right now and tell you, ‘I was here when that baby was born.’”

 

A few days later, Abercrombie clarified to Mark Niesse of the Associated Press that he didn’t exactly see Obama’s parents with their newborn son at the hospital, but that he “remembers seeing Obama as a child with his parents at social events.”

 

Although the major media have questioned why Abercrombie would raise an issue that, according to the Los Angeles Times, “most people see as resolved,” they take Abercrombie at his word as to what he knows about the young Obama family.

 

They shouldn’t.  Abercrombie’s boasts about his relationship with the president’s presumed parents, Barack Obama, Sr. and Ann Dunham, have got to unnerve the president and his close advisors.  They know something the media perversely choose not to know: Abercrombie is remembering a past that never happened.

 

A member of the House’s progressive caucus before his election as governor, Abercrombie has been talking excitedly about the relationship for years, playing John the Baptist to Obama’s Jesus.

 

“Little Barry, that’s what we called him,” Abercrombie told the Chicago Tribune while “recalling his days with Obama Sr. and his future wife, Ann Dunham, at the University of Hawaii.”  If Obama were born on August 4, 1961, however, there could not have been many such days. 

 

As is thoroughly documented, Ann and little Barry were in Seattle two weeks later, where she enrolled at the University of Washington.  By the time she returned to Hawaii in late summer or fall 1962, Barack Sr. had left for Harvard for good.

 

Citing Abercrombie as source, a 2007 Hawaii TV news report claimed that Ann “became estranged from her husband, Barack Obama[,] Sr., after his departure for Harvard.”  I don’t know about Hawaii, but in Missouri, if you flee your husband with baby in tow two weeks after his birth, that qualifies as “estrangement.”

What I Learned from Obama’s Pop

A little more than a month ago, I began my first descent into the rabbit hole of Barack Obama’s origins, a place known to swallow reputations whole. What prompted my inquiry was an e-mail from a correspondent asking my opinion of “Pop,” a poem published under the 19-year-old Obama’s name in the spring 1981 edition of Occidental College’s literary magazine, Feast. Having no prior bias going in, here is what I have concluded coming out.

 

• Questioning Obama’s origins is a legitimate enterprise. Even by their own humble standards, the major media — including Obama’s biographers — have done an impressively slack job in tracing the president’s uncertain roots.
• Obama was almost assuredly born in Hawaii. There is no evidence that puts him elsewhere. Undoing the Kenyan possibility is the high likelihood that the “marriage” between Barack Sr. and Ann Dunham was a sham.
• Much depends on that marriage. “My parents shared not only an improbable love, they shared an abiding faith in the possibilities of this nation,” said Obama, establishing the romantic narrative in his keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. His father was from Kenya. His mother was from “a town on the other side of the world, in Kansas.” 
• To paraphrase Harry Reid, Obama was no ordinary “Negro.” Said Joe Biden of Obama’s background, “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” Enough depends on this story that Team Obama would and has dissembled to preserve it.
• For starters, Ann Dunham spent her formative years in Washington State, several of them in the progressive cocoon of Mercer Island. It was to Washington that she returned for a year immediately after Obama’s birth, a fact missed by every Obama biography I could find.
• Baby Barack spent most of his first year in Washington as well, another fact overlooked by the biographers.
• There is not much storybook to a romance in which the mother leaves home immediately after her son’s birth. Barack Sr.’s close friends have no memory even of a relationship between him and Dunham.
  
• When Barack Sr. left Hawaii a year after Obama’s birth, Ann’s father Stanley was there to see him off with smiles. He would always speak well of the black man who knocked up his daughter and then abandoned wife and child — mighty unusual behavior from a father-in-law.
• There was a marriage license from another county, Maui — a classic way to avoid local notification — and a divorce, but if there was a wedding, then no one attended it. There was no ring, no photos, no leis.
• Ann Dunham met Barack Sr. in Russian class. (In 1960, people like Lee Harvey Oswald took Russian classes.) The possibility that the Dunhams recruited Barack Sr. to front for a less savory impregnation of Ann by a black man makes more sense than the fabled romance. Obama looks nothing like Barack Sr.
• No, there is absolutely no reason to believe that the father was Malcolm X.
• This brings us back to “Pop.” Every mainstream reviewer I could find has argued that the subject of the poem was Obama’s grandfather, Stanley Dunham. None of them asked why Obama would write a poem about his “Gramps” and title it “Pop.” None addressed the questions of paternity implicit in the title and in the confrontation between son and father figure.
• On closer examination, the poem is almost assuredly about Obama’s African-American mentor, the communist Frank Marshall Davis. There are two good reasons to assert this. One is that “Pop” recites a poem that he had written. Davis was a poet. Dunham was not.
• The second reason is that “Pop” actually appears to have been written by Davis about his own relationship with Obama.
• A stronger case can be made for Davis’s authorship than for Obama’s. For one, “Pop” has a different style altogether from a silly adolescent poem called “Underground” published under Obama’s name along with “Pop” in Feast. Critic Warwick Collins rightly describes “Pop” as “by far the more powerful and complex” of the two, and his is the consensus opinion.
• For another, “Pop” closely resembles in style, language, and subject a matter a poem published by Davis in 1975 called “To A Young Man.” The literary analyst who unearthed this poem — I have referred to him as “Mr. West” — has argued for Davis as “Pop” from the beginning.
• In each of the two poems in question, the young man is the narrator. In each, the old man, the Davis character, is discussed in the third person. In the 1981 poem, the narrator calls him “Pop,” in the 1975 poem “the old man.” In each poem, when this older character speaks to the young man, he does so without benefit of quotation marks.
• In “To A Young Man,” the Davis character says on one occasion, “Since then I have drunk/ Hal a hundred liquid years/ Distilled Through restless coils of wisdom.”
• Note the similar flow of language in “Pop”: “Pop switches channels, takes another/ Shot of Seagrams, neat, and asks/ What to do with me, a green young man.”
• As is evident in these two short samples, both poems are written in free verse and make ready use of what is called “enjambment” — that is the abrupt continuation of a sentence from one line into the next.
• There are parallels in word choice as well as style. “Neat” means without water or ice. “Neat” and “distilled” both suggest a kind of alcoholic purity. Each of these words is emphasized by isolating it from the flow of the text.
• Both poems are published with a seeming typo that may, in fact, be a pun.
  In “To A Young Man,” as cited above, the old man says, “Since then I have drunk/ Hal a hundred liquid years/ Distilled.” On first reading, I presumed the capitalized “Hal” to be a reference to young Prince Hal of Shakespeare’s Henry IV with an allusion to old man as Hal’s wayward guide, Sir John Falstaff. The sentence reads better, however, if the old man, fifty years older than his young friend, says, “I have drunk half a hundred liquid years.”

• In “Pop,” the older man “Stands, shouts, and asks
/For a hug, as I shink.” Most reviewers simply dismiss “shink” as a typo, the right word being “shrink.” Still, as poet Ian McMillan notes in the U.K. Guardian, “shink” literally means “to be hit in the face with a penis.” I am not making this up.

• In each case, too, the older man shares his wisdom with a “young man” who may not be eager to hear it. The young man of “Pop” dismisses that wisdom as a mere “spot” in his brain, “something
/that may be squeezed out, like a/
Watermelon seed between/
Two fingers.”
• Comparably, the narrator of “To A Young Man” observes that the old man “walked until/ On the slate horizon/ He erased himself.” Whether “squeezed out” or “erased” from the young man’s consciousness, the Davis character understands just how tenuous is his hold on the lad.
• For all his awareness, however, the older man finds a certain drunken satisfaction in the exchange. Towards the end of “To A Young Man,” the old man “turned/ His hammered face/ To the pounding stars/ Smiled/ Like the ring of a gong.” “Pop” also concludes on an upbeat note: “I see my face, framed within
/ Pop’s black-framed glasses/ 
And know he’s laughing too.”
• There is no reason to believe that the “young man” of the 1975 poem is Obama. The reader is told that the younger fellow is twenty years old and that the old man is fifty years older. Davis was precisely seventy in 1975, but Obama was no more than fourteen. Lacking too in the 1975 poem is the intimacy and anxiety that characterizes “Pop.”
• In fact, “Pop” hints at both a blood relationship between the two men and a sexual one. The very name of the poem implies paternity, and in the poem the young man uses reflections and mirrors to show a physical resemblance between himself and the old man.
• As to a possible sexual relationship between Obama and the admittedly bisexual Davis, the poem offers some intriguing evidence: “Pop … points out the same amber/ Stain on his shorts that I’ve got on mine, and/ Makes me smell his smell, coming/ From me.”
  
• It is impossible to confirm that Davis either sired Obama or sexually abused him, but this imagery does at the least reek of some unsavory boundary violation.
• As compensation, Davis may well have slipped this “green young man” a poem for publication. Such an everyday fraud would not have seemed unethical to an old man used to the “flim and flam” (“Pop”) of a world where “one plus one” does not necessarily make “two or three or four” (“To A Young Man”).
• Trained to believe that nothing adds up and the deck is stacked against him, Obama has seemed from the beginning entirely comfortable with his counterfeit literary career.
• This chicanery would reach fruition in Dreams, the acclaimed literary success that laid the foundation of the Obama-as-genius myth. The evidence that Obama pal and mentor Bill Ayers largely ghosted this memoir now overwhelms the objective reviewer.
• In the final analysis, Davis, a pornographer with a stated fondness for young white women, makes as likely a suspect to be Obama’s blood father as Barack Sr. Team Obama’s evasiveness about the birth certificate and other questions of origins may have something to do with paternity issues.
• Questions about Obama’s citizenship remain in play. His seeming adoption by the Muslim Lolo Soetoro and his removal to Indonesia cloud the issue of nationality. Obama was, in fact, registered at school there as “Barry Soetoro,” a “Muslim” and an Indonesian citizen.
• Contrary to rumor, Obama could have traveled to Pakistan on an American passport in 1981. Whether he did or not is another question. It was not until April 2008 at a San Francisco fundraiser that Obama casually let it be known that he had traveled to Pakistan at all. Curiously, he had not mentioned this trip in either of his two books or in any prior public discussion of Pakistan.
• Raising suspicions further was the fact that two weeks before the Pakistani admission, someone had improperly accessed Obama’s passport on three occasions. That someone worked for John Brennan at Analysis Corp, a company with fewer than a hundred employees. A former CIA operative then advising Obama, Brennan is now Deputy National Security Adviser.

 

Curiouser and curiouser! Those dependent on the major media for their news know close to none of the above. They have been coached to believe that only Mad Hatters and “birthers” would dare question the self-serving slop of disinformation that the media have dished out in the age of Obama. Well, off now to see Alice — something of a homecoming for me, as I have lived in Wonderland for the last several years.

American Thinker: Another Look @ Obama’s Origins

The murky circumstances of Obama’s birth invite attempts to make the known facts fit together. This article was prompted by two emails.  The first asked me why I had never weighed in on the birth certificate controversy surrounding President Barack Obama. 

 

I responded that although I was troubled by the lack of documentation regarding all phases of Obama’s history — I’d be content with his SAT scores — I could not understand why any pregnant American woman would go anywhere near Kenya.

I’d like to weigh in on this fascinating piece by Cashell. I have been forced to produce more background documentation than Obama just to get my two little kids onto recreational sports teams! Here in Florida, in order to get my daughter on a recreational SOCCER TEAM or my son on a recreational BASEBALL TEAM I have to produce a BIRTH CERTIFICATE every season they want to play–I believe this is to prevent “fraud in sports”–i.e. they’re worried about some sports prodigy from Latin America playing against opponents who are much younger so they verify everyone’s age every season. And speaking of “fraud prevention,” if you want to practice law in Florida the Florida Bar requires you to produce every scholastic transcript from every educational institution you’ve ever attended, from college on up through law school. I attended one semester at a university in Italy and that attendance was reflected in my undergraduate institution’s transcript. But that wasn’t good enough for the Florida Bar. So I then produced the translated-into-English copy of an Italian letter confirming my satisfactory completion of all courses during that semester in Italy from the Italian university to my undergraduate institution. The letter had been translated into English by the head of the French, Italian and Spanish departments at my college and I thought it was downright amazing that my college–which I contacted in a desperate frenzy when the transcript paperwork required by the Florida Bar threatened to keep me from being admitted– still had the translated letter in its records so many years later. But that still wasn’t good enough for the Florida Bar. Finally I had to contact the university in Italy (in Italian I might add) to ask it to write directly to the Florida Bar about my attendance. Weeks later, much to my amazement, the Florida Bar informed me they had received the letter and that my application for bar admission was completed. Isn’t it reassuring that the gurus in Tallahassee know more about me studying art in the Renaissance than the American people know about Obama?

The second email was more interesting.  It came from a Michigan entrepreneur named Don Wilkie, with whom I had not previously communicated.  Knowing my interest in the authorship questions surrounding Obama’s writing, he presumed that I was intrigued as he was by a cryptic poem the 19-year old Obama wrote called “Pop,” the best thing that Obama himself has actually written.  He was right.

“Pop” relates an encounter between Obama and a man most reviewers presume to be Obama’s maternal grandfather, Stanley Dunham.  Dunham would have been in his early 60′s at the time.  In the poem, Obama has “Pop” wondering drunkenly about the boy, “What to do with me, a green young man.” 

The Obama of the poem is cynical, even a little bitter.  He makes several allusions to the fact that he and the old man look and even smell alike, a fact that strikes Obama as more ironic than reassuring.  The poem ends, however, with reconciliation when Pop stands and asks for a hug.  Writes Obama:

I see my face, framed within


Pop’s black-framed glasses


And know he’s laughing too.

WND: Obama’s “Nativity” Story Gets more Questionable

A recent photograph of Barack Obama Sr. with Stanley Dunham (Obama’s grandfather), along with other information from Stanley Ann Dunham’s acquaintances in Washington State, call the “nativity” story of the 44th President’s birth into question, and provide further challenges to the secrecy of his birth certificate.

World Net Daily reports:

WND has reported that contrary to President Obama’s statement, his father did not abandon the family in Hawaii when he accepted an invitation to study at Harvard in 1962.

Instead, his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, abandoned Barack Obama Sr., when she moved from Hawaii to Seattle where she was enrolled in extension courses beginning Aug. 19, 1961, only 15 days after Barack Obama Jr. was born, according to Dunham’s grade transcript that WND obtained from the University of Washington.

The Polk city street directory for Seattle in 1961-1962 has Obama’s mother listed as a student living at 516 13th Ave. E., apartment 2, in Seattle’s Capitol Hill area, where babysitter Mary Toutonghi reported Obama’s mother attended night classes at the university that began at 4:30 p.m., as part of her extension school curriculum.

 

Documents uncovered by WND have raised questions whether President Obama’s parents ever lived together as husband and wife, despite Obama’s repeated assertions his parents lived together in Hawaii during the first two years of his life.

WND further reported the Polk city street directory for Honolulu for 1961-1962 indicates Obama’s grandparents, Madelyn and Stanley Dunham, lived at 6085 Kalanianaole Highway, the address listed for Obama’s birth in the announcement published in the Hawaiian newspaper at the time. Barack Obama Sr., meanwhile, maintained a separate bachelor pad at an 11th Avenue address, closer to the University of Hawaii.

Still, the nativity birth myth that Barack Obama, Sr. abandoned Ann Dunham when he left for Hawaii matches the nativity story he told on page 126 of Dreams from My Father.

What would Obama’s “Long Form” Hawaiian Birth Certificate Look Like?

     As has been previously posted on JAMES, birth certificates were recorded in Hawaii for births elsewhere, such as the President of China at the turn of the century. HRS 338-17.8, passed  by the Hawaiian legislature in 1982 according to the Hawaii statutes, codified the Health Department’s policies. Of course, a legal review of the legislative intent would show why the Legislature made this move at that time.

     Here are a couple of my observations:

      (1) This is a Hawaiian birth certificate (note the term “Island” in a few places.).

      (2) It has been surmised that it would have been Madelyn “Toots” Dunham that would have gone to the Department of Health to have her grandson’s birth recorded.

      (3) Toots Dunham would have listed her son-in-law as a “Negro”, but probably told the Registrar that he was “African”. This would lend credence to Obama’s “faux” document on FightTheSmears and Daily Kos listing Obama Sr. as “African”.

     (4) This is what Obama’s Long Form certificate would look like, and if Obama was born in Honolulu, it would show Queens Medical, or Kapolaini, whichever story is being put forth in ObamaLand today.

     (5) It is clear from the form itself that Hawaii routinely accepted “delayed” reporting and recording of births, as there is a box for the reason or evidence of the delayed birth.

     Even if this is NOT Obama’s Long Form birth certificate, it is abundantly clear that there is nothing that is contained on this form that would be a problem for the President if it were to be released, with the exception that maybe, as has been rumored elsewhere, that Obama Sr. is not the father. That would diminish the “Obamystique” of the Obama story, but that would be it.

     Just sayin…………..

Donofrio: Hawaii Reverses its Stance and releases Index

The Hawaii Department of Health has reversed course.  They now admit that they do -  in fact – make some vital records information available to the public.  This admission reverses their prior response pattern indicating that “no information” could be released.

You will recall from Part 1 of my full report that previous official responses to UIPA requests were greeted with statements – issued by DoH Director Fukino and DoH Communications Director Okubo – which indicated that state law forbid “any information” about Hawaii vital records from being released.  These rigid responses were issued despite the clear applicability of Haw. Rev. Stat. 338-18(d) which requires the mandatory release of some information from vital records on file with the DoH.

Just after I released that report, the Post and Email blog detailed that another researcher who requested “index data” had received the same improper denial of access to that index data.  I blogged on that denial in my report entitled, “Hawaii DoH Official Janice Okubo Places her Thumb Directly In The Giants Eye.”

Behind the scenes, myself and two other members of my research team – KingsKid and Justin Riggs – have been issuing very specific UIPA requests.  And last night KingsKid received a response to her UIPA request from DoH Communications Director Okubo which exhibits a complete reversal of policy.

After delivering a well received public speech at the National Democratic Convention in Boston last month, there are some Americans who now believe he is a future candidate for the White House.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, as it were, in the sleepy village of Alego-Kogello where Barack Obama Snr grew up, they call the prospective Senator “Wuod Sarah”, Dholuo for “the son of Sarah”, Sarah being his foster grandmother.

Obama’s real grand mother – the late Habiba Akumu separated with his grandfather, thus forcing Sarah to step in to care for him.

Agitated villagers are waiting in awe. What if Obama wins the Senate seat in the November 2 elections? Will he return home with bags of dollars? Will the rocky road leading to their village be tarmacked? Will their mud-walled schools where Obama’s father and cousins once schooled be improved?

As the US senate campaign hots up, Obama mania is sweeping through Alego.

Villagers here now buy newspapers to read every tid bit they can find about their American kin. The rest have their ears glued to battered transistor radios to keep abreast with the latest information about Obama Jr’s political exploits.

Everyone you meet in the area wants to be associated either with Obama Jr, his father or even distant relatives.

Newly-born children and oxen, are being named after him. There are even suggestions that a village path leading to a local market be named after him.

To these simple villagers, news that Obama was causing a political stir in the world’s most powerful country is a miracle. “Ma en hono maduong” (this is a big miracle), says 50-year-old Martin Onyango.

“Wamor kod wuod Sarah. Otingo’ nying Kenya malo” (We are happy with Sarah’s son, he has elevated Kenya’ name),” says Onyango as he chews sugarcane.

Some of the people of Alego believe Obama’s rising fortunes will translate into increased employment opportunities, better roads and education opportunities. A few are even optimistic that even the dusty Nyang’oma-Kogello market will be upgraded to a big town, complete with an airstrip.

“We don’t expect a whole Senator to drive to his home village. We expect him to fly direct and land at Nyang’oma,” says George Onyango, a 20-year-old barber.

The prospective Senator’s sister-in-law Fauziah Anyango, wife to his step-brother Malik Obama, told the Sunday Nation that she was eager to meet her heroic in-law.

Said she: “I have not met him but I pray that he wins the Senate seat. His victory will not be for us, but for Kenya and Africa.”

A Sunday Nation team that set out to trace Obama’s roots was surprised to find that, unknown to many, Obama has actually been to this village twice. First in 1983, when he had come to mourn his late father, Barack Hussein Obama, who had died in Nairobi in 1982; and again in 1995 when he brought home his young bride to show her his roots.

During both visits, the villagers paid little or no attention to him. He managed to slip quietly into the village, pray at his father’s graveyard and meet a few relatives and villagers.

Family members told the Sunday Nation that they taught his bride how to use traditional pots (Agulu) to fetch water from a nearby stream.

Obama Jr and his bride spent nearly a week sleeping in a tiny room in his foster grandmother’s old brick house and ate traditional foods.

The ropes from which he hung a mosquito net at his grandmother’s house still dangle in the bedroom.

Photographs taken during his visit to Alego and those taken during his wedding in America have filled three albums.

In one of the photos, a slender, young Obama is seen boarding a matatu (commuter taxi) to Kisumu, from where he and his fiancee would fly to Nairobi and then back to the US.

We were informed that Obama’s foster grandmother, Mama Sarah Ogwel, who brought up his father, had actually travelled to the US to visit several times.

Mama Sarah told us: “He is very enthusiastic about his relatives here. He keeps on sending people to find out how we are faring.”

And whether or not he wins the Senate seat, the 43-year-old Harvard University trained lawyer is expected back in Alego to build his “Simba” (a young man’s hut) in line with Luo traditions.

Barack has deep roots here. He once told me he has two homes – Kenya and the United States, she says happily.

Ever since the news of Obama’s Kenya connection was known, Mama Sarah has been receiving a stream of visitors. They now average about five a day.

Most of these visitors are journalists, both foreign and local (like ourselves), who have turned the home upside down while tracing Obama’s roots.

To cater for these many uninvited guests, the family is putting up a guest house just next to a house built for his father’s first wife, Keziah Obama.

Keziah, who hails from Kendu Bay in Rachuonyo district, lives in Britain with three of her four children.

One of her sons, Malik Obama, is a frequent visitor to the USA but is currently in Kenya though he had travelled to Nairobi when we visited.

While she welcomes visitors, Mama Sarah is getting a little fed up with the disruption they have caused in her life.

The day before the Sunday Nation team arrived, she had played host to a crew from CNN.

Lamented Mama Sarah as we prepared to interview her: “I can’t live here in peace. I have been talking to visitors for several hours a day. I have been interviewed a thousand times and I am tired.”

Tracing Obama’s home was a simple task. The home, located some 60 km from Kisumu town, is well known in Alego. Almost every villager you meet is ready to offer a tip on how to access the home.

To reach the home, one turns off the Kisumu-Siaya road near Ng’iya shopping centre and drives towards Obama’s village market, Nyang’oma-Kogello. From there the home is just a stone’s throw-away.

By local standards it is a vast well kept compound with Sarah’s battered brick house sitting imposingly at the far end.

Two cemented graves, one for Barack Obama Snr and the other for his father Mzee Hussein Onyango Obama, who was born in 1870 but died in 1975.

The Obama family are among the few Muslims in the locality.

The prospective Senator’s grandfather was called Hussein Onyango Obama. He worked as a cook and spent most of his working life in Nairobi.

According to Mama Sarah, Obama Jr used his two trips to Kenya to try to unravel his roots. He spoke to many villagers and relatives through an interpreter.

The candidate’s best-selling autobiography, Dreams from my Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance, was compiled with information gathered from relatives and villagers in Alego.

The story revolves around Obama’s quest to find out more about his father, described by many as a brilliant economist who returned from the United States to take up a civil service job in Kenya. He was was later killed in a road accident in 1982, just when he was poised to take up a top job at the Central Bank.

According to the family, Obama’s father travelled to America to study at the University of Hawaii in 1959. While there, he worked for an oil company and married his second wife, a white woman, named Anna Toot, and their union produced Barack Obama Jr.

The marriage later broke up after Anna’s father opposed it, according to Mama Sarah.

“Anna’s father was furious about the marriage and threatened to have Obama Snr expelled from the university. Our son sent us letters, pleading that we intervene to save the marriage,” remembers Sarah.

Why The Media Blackout On Obama’s Citizenship

It seems that everyone today is asking why there is no media coverage of the many legal challenges to Obama’s eligibility to become president, based upon many valid questions regarding his citizenship. Instead of simply answering these challenges with documented proof of his citizenship, he has chosen instead to conceal from public view, every single legal document he has, and spend a half million dollars in lawyer fees to fight the cases in hopes of getting them dismissed or delayed indefinitely. 

The documents he has had sealed that would answer this looming question are his original birth certificate, his passport, his college records from both Columbia and Harvard universities, his health records, and his original Selective Service registration – if it exists at all. Many inconsistencies in the Selective Service registration form, which has appeared on the web indicate it has been forged or altered. Obama seems determined to hide his true identity. Some investigators are even questioning the identity of his paternal father, based on his stronger resemblance to Frank Marshal Davis and Malcolm X than to Barack Obama Sr.

The electronic copy of the document posted on Obama’s website, authenticated by the Hawaii Department of Health and FactCheck.org, and being called his birth certificate is not a birth certificate. The Hawaiian “Certification Of Live Birth” is a document available to any child in Hawaii over one year of age, regardless of where the child was born. The Hawaiian “Certificate Of Live Birth” is a Hawaiian birth certificate showing that the child was born in Hawaii, and Obama doesn‘t seem to have one. At least, not one he is willing to show us.

How could 44 million Americans vote for a man they really know nothing about other than what he has told them? Has any president ever before in history been elected without revealing the most basic of documents like a birth certificate and academic records? Remember how Bush’s and Kerry’s college and military records were highly scrutinized during their campaigns? For all we really know about Obama, he could be a space alien sent to Earth as a small child. Yet 44 million people voted for him based on nothing more than his campaign rhetoric of undefined “hope“ and “change,” and anti-American redistribution of wealth.

Two of the cases challenging Obama’s citizenship have just been dismissed by the Supreme Court, but several more have already been filed for review. Citizens across the country are signing petitions, blogging, and posting on the Internet. They are demanding that this issue be resolved before Obama is elected by the Electoral College on Dec. 15, or at the latest by Jan. 20 when he is scheduled to be sworn into office. Yet in spite of this nationwide outrage, the media refuses even to mention what is likely to be a major news story of the century – people want to know why.

I suspect that the media aren’t covering the story because they are convinced that Obama will become our next president, and they’ve decided to be safe, rather than sorry. We have all seen what happens to people who publicly challenge Obama or disagree with him – reporters tossed off his campaign plane; investigation of Joe the Plumber, challengers smeared, etc. Obama and his surrogates attempt either to shut them up or shut them down. Any mention of his citizenship status is dismissed as a conspiracy theory or a hoax. Yet we have only his word that he is an American citizen, and that seems to be all the evidence that his supporters have as well on which to base their cynical and arrogant assumptions about his citizenship and our grounds to question it.

Any media outlet that covers this issue will likely be denied a seat in the White House press room as well as any other access to White House staff and the presumed president. They would also be concerned about their broadcast license being threatened by an Obama administration. I suspect what has happened is that media outlet executives have given strict orders to their news directors and editors that this story is not to be mentioned for fear of repercussions by the proposed future administration should it actually become a reality.

MSNBC and perhaps NBC doesn’t seem to share this fear, and for good reason. They have been deep into the tank for Obama all along and have been one of his best propaganda outlets. MSNBC is the only news channel that has actually giving any coverage to the controversy but always paints it as nothing more than a right wing conspiracy theory and laughs it off. We’ll see who has the last laugh.

Fox News, which we would expect to take some interest in this story has been consistently and conspicuously silent on the issue. My suspicions mentioned above were reinforced yesterday during the Fox News Watch program when Eric Shawn was talking with Liz Trotta about some conservative writers on the Internet who “praised” Obama for some of his “centrist” appointments. As Trotta discussed the various articles, Shawn interjected that blogs were widely talking about Obama’s citizenship. Trotta quickly and disdainfully dismissed it and changed the subject which was not referred to again.  It was almost as though she was reminding him that the subject is not to be brought up.

Even talk radio commentators are afraid to talk about it. Rush Limbaugh stated that he is not sure if it “passes the smell test,” and Sean Hannity has not even mentioned it as far as I know except when a caller brought it up. Hannity remarked that he didn’t know enough about it and moved to another topic.

Hannity may be restricted by his bosses, but Rush is the CEO of his own broadcasting network and has nothing to fear except the possible loss of some of his franchise radio stations across the country which carry his show. Rush is known for facing down any amount of political pressure or politician so he must have his own reasons for not giving it credibility on the air. Privately, I suspect Limbaugh takes this matter very seriously but he has two relatives on the bench; Stephen N. Limbaugh, Sr., Stephen N. Limbaugh, Jr. and other friends who may have advised him to avoid the subject until the issue is officially in the hands of the courts.

Obama, or as Dr. Jack Wheeler calls him “Zero,” has campaigned on transparency and uniting the country – a statement many of us laughed at from the start. It’s time “Zero” showed some transparency of his own by disclosing his original birth certificate; his college records; his health records; his unaltered draft registration; his campaign contributors; his true connections, citizenship, and allegiance to Indonesia and Kenya; and show the American people that he is willing to come clean and be honest with us. In his brief political career so far, “Zero” has hidden more secrets from the American people than George W. Bush has in his entire 8 years as President of the United States.

On his To The Point News website, Jack Wheeler has divulged that he knows “the true story” about Obama’s birth situation, and it is “wild,” but he – and the contact person who also runs a major news site and told him the facts – are apparently not yet prepared to reveal this shocker to the public. Wheeler said he will let the source of the information reveal it in his own time. ”…The details of what he told me is for him to reveal when he chooses, not me. I can tell you it is OMG wild.”

Any hopes of uniting the country will depend heavily on Mr. Obama’s willingness to disclose the personal documents he has been hiding under lock and key, thereby erasing all doubts about his eligibility to become our president. Until he does that, he will be considered an illegitimate usurper of the presidency by at least half of the American people and will be given none of the respect and allegiance afforded to other presidents.

He will be viewed as a traitor to this country from the day he takes the oath of office and America will be considered a country without a president. Furthermore if the military has any patriotism for America, they will consider themselves to be armed forces without a Commander in Chief. There will be no uniting of the country, only further division and animosity toward the president and the government.

The consequences of not resolving this problem before inauguration day will be catastrophic for the country. Should “Zero” be found not to be a natural born citizen of this country after he takes office, it will be the duty of Congress to impeach him and the duty of the Justice Department to take him into custody on charges of treason and fraud. Those charges should also extend to Howard Dean and other leaders of the Democrat party as well as the state of Illinois Democrat party officials and the person who placed the usurper’s name into the nomination for president. All of these entities should have vetted the candidate for eligibility before his name was ever placed on the ballot.

But there’s more. It would mean that every directive, every Executive Order, every piece of legislation, every “signing statement” and 100% of his Cabinet plus thousands of other appointments would be unlawful. Any judicial appointees would have to resign. All of the above personnel would have to be immediately replaced as would his V.P. who would – under these tumultuous circumstances – NOT assume the office of the presidency.

Should this become the case, the Constitution does provide a procedure for resolving it by placing the Vice President in the position of acting president. The 25th Amendment states in Section 1:

“In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.”

But there is problem with this. It assumes that the vice president was legally appointed by a legitimate presidential candidate or president. If the president is illegitimate, then any selections to his cabinet would be invalid including the vice president.

The 20th Amendment provides for the case of a president elect and vice president elect being found unqualified for the office, but this applies to the candidate prior to being sworn in. Section 3 of Amendment XX states in part:

“… or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.”

These may be helpful in determining a procedure for replacing the president and vice president, but neither one was intended to apply to the situation we face today, or may face after “Zero” is sworn in. But neither amendment applies to both president and vice president being removed from office. From other language in these Amendments, it would appear that it would be up to the House of Representatives to select an acting president until such time as a qualified president can be elected. God only knows whom this House would select.

Clearly such a turn of events would be cataclysmic for America, because it would lay us wide open for terror attacks everywhere in the nation, due to a temporarily leaderless country in utter turmoil – all due to the hubris and thirst for power by one man and his disgraceful minions.

We must also consider the very real possibility that “Zero‘s” citizenship issue will be ignored and the courts will permit him to serve as president in spite of his lack of proper natural born citizenship status. A precedent will have been set for any foreigner from anywhere in the world to assume control of the United States of America. Imagine President Soros – President Mugabe – President Assad – or perhaps even President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

This issue must be pursued to it’s legal conclusion. The public must not fall prey to the liberal media propaganda that attempts to paint conservatives, who believe and trust in the Constitution as the law of the land, as nutcase right wing conspirators. If Mr. Obama is a natural born citizen of the United States of America, then show us the proof. Release the critical documents. We will accept nothing less.

In 1959, Nikita Khrushchev said “We will bury you.” He also said “We will take you over from within.” Of course, he was talking about communism. Obama could very well be the final nail in America’s coffin as a student of Marxism and a usurper of the presidency of the Untied States of America. His citizenship status must be verified and this issue resolved without delay or America may be facing a revolt like never before seen in the history of the country.
