The Navy Seals were dropped onto the USS Bainbridge; the President had authorized military force for the rescue of Capt. Richard Phillips, from his pirate captors; the National Security advisors non-stop intelligence monitoring.
And as Easter Sunday masses and services were celebrated across our Nation, word was released that everything had come together, and our snipers took out the pirates, and the Captain of the Maersk-Alabama cargo ship was quickly rescued and wisked to the USS Bainbridge. As the snow fell this Easter morning and afternoon in the small hometown of the captain in Underhill Vermont, true Americana was on display for all of the world to see. The faith of a family and a company was tested, and triumphed.
After our President spent a week on his “Tour of Contrition 2009″ issuing apologies we gave him no license to extend. the power of our Military was able to overshadow whatever dammage Obama’s words had done.
Easter is a day of celebration of the miracles of our faith, and for the family of Captain Phillips, this will truly be a day of their faith in miracles.
