from Hillbuzz:

Congressman Allen West is a future United States President.

The man is going to change everything someday:  he will personally destroy the Race Industry, and will more likely than not provide the final clobbering to the Cocktail Party GOP establishment.

I swear, I want an action figure of Allen West sitting on my desk inspiring me to write letters like the above to terrible people.

West is the perfect VP choice for 2012…and presidential pick in 2020.

Go, West, Go!

After Rep. Lt. Col. Allen West spoke in the House about the debt ceiling crisis, and left the hall, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (also the DNC Chair) took to bashing the freshman Congressman, a Tea Party favorite. Angered that she did not challenge him in person, West sent the Congresswoman, and the leadership of both parties, the following scathing email:

From: Z112 West, Allen
Sent: Tuesday, July 19, 2011 04:48 PM
To: Wasserman Schultz, Debbie
Cc: McCarthy, Kevin; Blyth, Jonathan; Pelosi, Nancy; Cantor, Eric
Subject: Unprofessional and Inappropriate Sophomoric Behavior from Wasserman-Schultz

Look, Debbie, I understand that after I departed the House floor you directed your floor speech comments directly towards me. Let me make myself perfectly clear, you want a personal fight, I am happy to oblige. You are the most vile, unprofessional ,and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up. Focus on your own congressional district!

I am bringing your actions today to our Majority Leader and Majority Whip and from this time forward, understand that I shall defend myself forthright against your heinous characterless behavior……which dates back to the disgusting protest you ordered at my campaign hqs, October 2010 in Deerfield Beach.

You have proven repeatedly that you are not a Lady, therefore, shall not be afforded due respect from me!

Steadfast and Loyal

Congressman Allen B West (R-FL)

They have all come out to protect the attacks on Obama’s leadership style/skills (or, IMHO, the lack thereof). But when Gov. Manchin (D-WV) questions the leadership skills of the Commander in Chief, and says “they obvioulsy aren’t working”, how much cover can the liberal media and the pundits give? How much tingling can Chris Matthews be really feeling these days?

I believe that Rep. Lt. Col. Allen West (R-FL) put it best when he said “I’ve spent 22 years in the military, and I have seen buck Seargents with more leadership skills”.

Was this “skirmish” over 2011′s budget, as a warm up for the Debt Ceiling battle and the massive battle over the 2012 battle, enough to make many of the kool-aid drinkers question their 2008 vote?

West is introduced at about 8:25

“Even the dirt on him is “Good Dirt!!”"

On Thanksgiving, here’s a guy for whom all red-blooded Americans should be truly grateful. Allen West might just be the black president to save the US in 2012 from the ruins created by the previous one.

Allen who? The only reason I’ve heard of West – a former US army Lt Col, now US Representative elect for Florida’s 22nd congressional district – is that I keep being forwarded YouTube videos of his speeches and interviews by enthusiastic American friends. Even more so than Marco Rubio, he strikes me as the dream candidate for the GOP ticket in 2012. Obviously his skin colour is going to do him no harm, given what we saw of minority voting patterns in the last US presidential election. Nor is the fact that he has been endorsed by kingmaker Sarah Palin. But even without either of those advantages, he’d still be a mightily strong contender – as I think you’ll gather when you watch the video.

What I like about West is that he tells it like it is. He doesn’t wriggle or squirm or duck – he’s a man of clear principles. And they’re the right principles, too. Though he believes in low taxes and small government, for example, he’s not prepared to pussyfoot around as regards US security.

In the above video, his interviewer David Gregory fails to trip him up with a question about passenger profiling at airports. (”I don’t call it profiling. I call it trend analysis” he says.) And again fails to trip him up with one of those “OK. So which area of desperately needed, much appreciated government spending would you cut?” elephant traps that the more lily-livered variety of Me-Too Conservative dreads. “I think everything needs to be on the table” says West, without batting an eyelid.

Labelling Joyce Kaufman and Allen West as “Right wing Extremists”, the Left has visciously attacked both of them, and caused Ms. Kaufman to withdraw as West’s Chief of Staff. In the midst of the uproar over her appointment, the Broward School system, one of the nation’s largest, was put on lockdown after suspicious emails annd threats appeared at the radio show host’s station, WFTL. Now the “rest of the story” appears, with an arrest, of a left wing member of the Green Party:

The woman charged by the FBI with making a threat that led to the lockdown of more than 300 Broward County schools after hearing the words of right-wing talker Joyce Kaufman isn’t a member of the Tea Party — she’s a member of the Green Party.

Ellisa Martinez was arrested yesterday for making an emailed threat and a phone call to Kaufman’s radio station, 850-AM, on November 10. In the email, Martinez feigned agreement with the fiery arch-conservative rhetoric of Kaufman and Sarah Palin, but she’s she’s officially on the other side of the ledger. According to the Pasco County Supervisor of Elections Office, Martinez is a member of the Green Party, a progressive left-wing group focused on environmental issues.

The FBI says that after Martinez saw a tape on MSNBC of Kaufman at a July 3 Tea Party rally, she fired off a threatening email that led to a lockdown at all Broward County schools. During the speech, Kaufman made her now-infamous statement that ”if ballots don’t work, bullets will.”

With the arrest of Martinez in Los Angeles yesterday, we finally get a better picture of the email that caused a maelstrom that also prompted Kaufman to quit as Congressman-elect Allen West’s chief of staff, a job she had initially accepted.

The threatening email was sent to Kaufman at the radio station, and Kaufman, a former liberal, has hinted repeatedly that the email was a hoax from a left-wing activist, not a declaration of war from one of her Tea Party adherents.

The email:

“dear ms. kaufman, i was so thrilled to see you speak in person for congressman elect west. i was especially exited to hear you encourage us to exercise our second amendment gun rights. i felt your plan to organize people with guns in the hills of Kentucky and else where was a great idea. i know that you know one election is not enough to take our country back from the illegal aliens, jews, muslims, and illuminati who are running the show. i am so glad you support people who think like me. I’m planning something big around a government building here in Broward County, maybe a post office, maybe even a school, i’m going to walk in and teach all the government hacks working there what the 2nd amendment is all about. Can I count on your help?”
