Authorities in New Jersey allege a Muslim man beheaded two Coptic Christians, burying their bodies and heads and hands in separate graves near Philadelphia, bringing the horror of the persecution of Christians in Islamic nations to the United States.

According to New York’s WABC-TV, the Muslim was identified as Yusuf Ibrahim, 28. He was taken into custody after the bodies were found.

The report said investigators alleged Ibrahim killed the victims then severed their heads and hands, and buried the remains in the back yard of a home in Buena Vista, N.J.

The report said the victims were from the Coptic Christian community in the area. One of the victims had come from Egypt not many years ago.

While the report said police did not indicate a motive, friends of the victims wondered if it was something to do with religion.

What Barack Obama Learned from Benghazi?

The President went to bed without the knowledge that our Ambassador to Libya was safe and secure on the night of September 11th, 2012. There were no photos of his meetings with the Secretary of State or the Secretary of Defense. There were no “Situation Room” photo ops either.

Fast forward seven months, and what has the President learned. Within hours of the bombings at the Boston Marathon, Obama addressed the nation. Though it would be another 12 hours before he used the term he hates, he knew that “terrorism”, in some form, had been perpetrated in Boston. The White House released the “photo op” of the President meeting with the FBI Director and a National Security advisor.

Today, as the manhunt unfolds in Boston and Watertown, MA, the flow of Cabinet members and security advisors is clearly visible on Capitol Hill and at the White House. The White House has made sure to indicate that the President has been receiving briefs throughout the night.

So, if nothing else, Barack Obama has learned that the optics matter.!!

Okaz, the same prominent Saudi newspaper, that published photos of Abdul Rahman Ali Issa Al-Salimi Al-Harbi in the hospital after the Boston marathon bombings, is now reporting that the Saudi national was also visited by the first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama during his hospital stay.

Then, of course, Secretary Napaolitano “refused” to even answer any questions about the reported Saudi and his deportation.

We Are “Boston Strong”

I have had the opportunity to live in Boston, to walk the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, the Freedom Trail.

Even as the police and FBI target the suspect that remains at large after today’s early-morning shoot out that left his older brother (and co- terrorist) dead, the resolve of the people of New England is one that will not allow these cruel acts of violence to cut away at the freedoms that we so cherish in this great country. The birthplace of our Revolution that led to our Independence, Boston is the heart of the battle of freedom.

So as the families of Ms. Campbell, the young Martin Richard, the BU grad student from China, and now the officer from MIT mourn their losses, Boston and the country mourn with them. But Boston, and the country, will, as we did on 9/11 and the days that followed, remain forever “BOSTON STRONG!!”

Breaking: Explosions near Finish Line of Boston Marathon

In the finish line area of the Boston Marathon, several explosions have occurred within the last hours. There a many injured, and at least three have been confirmed dead. All members of the Boston Police Bomb Squad have been ordered to the finish line area near the famed Copley Square.

New York City, as a measure of precaution, has put all bridges and landmarks under its high level security procedures.

UPDATE: Massachusetts General Hospital ER is reporting that there have been @ least ten people brought in with missing limbs. 3:58PM

IRS Claims Right to Access Emails WITHOUT a Warrant

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has claimed that agents do not need  warrants to read people’s emails, text messages and other private electronic  communications, according to internal agency documents.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which obtained  the documents through a Freedom of Information Act request, released the  information on Wednesday.

In a 2009  handbook, the IRS said the Fourth Amendment does not protect emails because  Internet users “do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy in such  communications.” A 2010 presentation by the IRS Office of General Counsel  reiterated the policy.
