With a 55-45 vote in the United States Senate, Vice President Michael Pence gaveled the confirmation of Judge Neil Gorsuch as a Supreme Court Justice into history. After the Democrats voted in such a manner as to trigger the nuclear option, the seat of the late Justice Scalia was filled with a judge of impeccable honor and integrity.

And thus begins the Reshaping of the SCOTUS. In the four years, possibly eight, that lie ahead for President Trump, I predict that there will be AT LEAST two more vacancies to fill. Given that the Libs have triggered the nuclear option, the conservative Court will shape our judicial branch for at least a generation.

In five days, the midterms elections of 2014 will be OVER (with perhaps the exception of a runoff in Georgia and/or Louisiana). With any luck, we will know clearly on the night of November 4th how the checks and balances within our Constitution will be set up. Of course, we then have to hope that those in “leadership” do the correct thing!

So how do you see the 2014 Elections play out?

And then on November 5th, we start all over…… toward NOVEMBER 8th, 2016

Thomas Jefferson was one of the great visionaries of his time. This is his quote, his reflection, on how our Democracy could be crippled and cease to exist:

“The Democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work, and give to those who would not.”

I guess that speaks VOLUMES for itself!!

On Saturday, the Boston College Eagles will take to the football field, against the USC Trojans. But the story isn’t about who they are playing. The story is the “story” behinf the red bandanas that will adorn their uniforms, and that the fans in the stadium will wave. It is the story of Welles Remy Crowther, BC Class of 1999, American hero!

While at this hour we focus on the nearly three thousand lives lost in New York, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania, let us also pause to remember the four brave Americans who were attacked and killed on this date two years ago when our consulate in Benghazi, Libya was attacked.

The newspapers, the live media, the blogs, can all write and say hours of print and video. But the simple fact is that at 8:46AM, we pause for a moment of silence to remember 9/11/01.

Let us always remember, Let us never forget !!
