From Townhall.com:

A company named Blueseed is a year away from offering entrepreneurs an inexpensive place, near Silicon Valley, in which to develop their products.

“Blueseed will station a ship 12 nautical miles from the coast of San Francisco, in international waters. The location will allow startup entrepreneurs from anywhere in the world to start or grow their company near Silicon Valley, without the need for a U.S. work visa. The ship will be converted into a coworking and co-living space, and will have high-speed Internet access and daily transportation to the mainland via ferry boat. So far, over 1000 entrepreneurs from 60+ countries expressed interest in living on the ship.”

Here is a sampling of images from their page of Concept Vessels.

“I don’t know why any individual should have a right to have a revolver in his house,” Nixon said in a taped conversation with aides. “The kids usually kill themselves with it and so forth.” He asked why “can’t we go after handguns, period?”

from Brietbart:

Recently uncovered government documents reveal that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) unmanned Predator B drone fleet has been custom designed to identify civilians carrying guns and track cell phone signals.

“I am very concerned that this technology will be used against law-abiding American firearms owners,” said founder and executive vice president of the Second Amendment Foundation, Alan Gottlieb. “This could violate Fourth Amendment rights as well as Second Amendment rights.”

The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) obtained a partially redacted copy of Homeland Security’s drone requirements through a Freedom of Information Act request; CNET uncovered an unredacted copy.

Homeland Security design requirements specify that its Predator B drones “shall be capable of identifying a standing human being at night as likely armed or not” and must be equipped with “interception” systems capable of reading cell phone signals.

The first known domestic use of a drone to arrest a U.S. citizen occurred last year in the small town of Lakota, North Dakota when rancher Rodney Brossart was arrested for refusing to return six of his neighbor’s cows that had wandered on to his property. Critics say the fact that domestic drones are being used in such minor matters raises serious concerns about civil liberties and government overreach.

ANGER MANAGEMENT COURSE TO BUY AMMO… REALLY!!

A Florida legislator wants anyone trying to buy ammunition to complete an  anger management program first, in what critics say is the latest example of  local lawmakers reaching for constitutionally-dubious solutions to the problem  of gun violence.

The bill filed Saturday by state Sen. Audrey Gibson, D-Jacksonville, would  require a three-day waiting period for the sale of any firearm and the sale of  ammunition to anyone who has not completed anger management courses. The  proposal would require ammo buyers to take the anger management courses every 10  years.

“This is not about guns,” Gibson said. “This is about ammunition and not only  for the safety of the general community, but also for the safety of law  enforcement.”

Gibson said she’s concerned with citizens stockpiling ammunition, potentially  creating dangerous situations should those individuals ever come in contact with  law enforcement agencies or criminals.

“It’s about getting people to think, really, about how much ammunition they  need,” Gibson said. “It’s a step, I think, in a safer direction. It’s about  getting people to think before they buy.”

Wow…talk about back door maneuvers.
“InterMedia employees believe that Hindery, a Huffington Post blogger who has contributed to numerous Democratic politicians including Andrew Cuomo and Elizabeth Warren, is in the process of consolidating all of America’s leading gun-culture media outlets and stripping them down to virtual destruction.”

Imagine that… a third of a billion dollars saved if everyone in Congress followed the lead of Senator Rand Paul:

from Politico:

Sen. Rand Paul is taking his own message of fiscal conservatism to heart,  returning about 17 percent of his Senate office budget to the U.S. Treasury.

“It’s the only budget I control,” Paul (R-Ky.) said on Wednesday at a news  conference in Louisville, Ky., according to a Thursday report in The Courier-Journal, a Louisville-based  publication. “It’s not enough, but it’s a start.”

Paul, who is set to return $600,000 from his $3.5 million  office budget, has returned six-figure sums before.

The libertarian-leaning lawmaker said his office scrutinizes spending from  big-ticket items like travel, down to “computers, paper, ink cartridges.  Everything we buy,” the report said.

from Brietbart:

Politico’s Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen (VandeAllen) must have recently woke up feeling a little dirty about themselves and their chosen profession. Maybe it was due to Obama not leaving any money on the dresser this weekend. Whatever the motivation, it is fun to read their long, rambling rationalization for why they, their awful publication, and the media as a whole have spent the last four years willingly assuming the position of Obama’s footstool.

What we obviously have here is a case of Battered Media Syndrome. The media obediently adore, ferociously protect, and do everything Barack tells them to do. But right now the media are feeling a little taken for granted — battered, if you will.  But rather than stand up for themselves, the boys at Politico have composed a love letter to Obama, that says in so many words: You only treat us bad because you’re so amazing!

This is the full version of the remarks of Dr. Ben Carson @ the National Prayer Breakfast last week. I am sure that a body language expert can have a field day examining President Obama’s reaction throughout the speech.

The Narcissist-in-Chief has whined this weekend that Dr. Carson’s speech received more coverage than the President’s actual appearance at the event. Give me a break!
