Makes you wonder:
Since becoming pregnant, I have learned a hard reality. I have private insurance because I am self employed. I knew that my insurance plan did not offer maternity coverage.
I did not know that there are NO private insurance companies that provide maternity coverage. I thought that was strange, so I did a little digging. What I found out was shocking to me.
I called 18 health insurance companies, including insurance “firms.” I was told this, ” When Obama enacted his “health care reform,” he mandated that maternity coverage not be available to any private insurance company.” All 18 companies said the exact same thing. It almost seems like he is trying to discourage pregnancy. Hmm…that made me think of something else.
When I worked at Planned Parenthood, there was something that we were not allowed to talk about. If we didn’t talk about it, then maybe no one else would either. It was called the Jaffe Memo. In 1969, Planned Parenthood was asked by the government to produce some ideas to help with overpopulation. They did just that. What is in the memo as a “solution” to overpopulation is astonishing. And, I’m sorry to say, it looks like the Jaffe Memo is starting to show its face in our culture.

This is completely false. Most insurance companies do not offer maternity coverage to individual policyholders. This is nothing new.
Obama has not “mandated that maternity coverage not be available to any private insurance company”. In fact, by 2014 insurers will be required to provide maternity coverage.

Stothes,
The sad thing is that you do NOT point out how WRONG it is for the Government to DICTATE to a private company.
Either way, dictating it or dictating NOT to have it is WRONG.
Let free enterprise decide.

There is no country in the world that has a totally free market. All governments impose some sort of regulation. Hong Kong has the most free market according to the Heritage Foundation. America ranks at #9, in between Denmark and Bahrain.
I’m perfectly happy to have a discussion with you on laissez faire capitalism, but I’m not sure what that has to do with the article at hand which is a poorly crafted conspiracy/lie by Abby Johnson.
