And “lack of substance”?

I guess you haven’t read his biography, because he has risen to the top in many different fields.

What kind of “substance” are you referring too?.

Just watched the press conference for the fourth woman to come forward withh sexual harassment allegations against Cain.

I watched using CNN’s live feed.

This is what I conclude:

Allred stated that there were THREE incidents of harassment.

Sharon stated there was ONE incident where she and Cain were sitting in a car, and Cain put his hand on her LEG, and “tried” to move her head toward his crotch.

She said that she told him to stop and he did. She asked him to take her back to her hotel and he did.

This, in my opinion, is NOT what constitutes sexual harassment.

Cain made a pass at her, she rejected his advances, and he STOPPED.

End of story.

But the media will blow this up.

Allred called Cain’s actions “disgusting”.

I’m sending Cain a donation.

Cain was and is still married. THAT is the worst thing about this. As far as I’m concerned, this is between Cain and his wife.

Could you imagine the reports that would be coming out if JFK were running for President this election cycle?

Oh wait, JFK was a Democrat, and the Enquirer would have to “out” him, the main stream media would probably treat the JFK story like they did the John Edwards affair.

Here’s the full “statement” by the accuser’s LAWYER, not the accuser herself:

“In 1999 I was retained by a female employee of the National Restaurant Association concerning several instances of sexual harassment by the then CEO.

She made a complaint in good faith about a series of inappropriate behaviors and unwanted advances from the CEO.

Those complaints were resolved in an agreement with her acceptance of a monetary settlement. She and her husband see no value in revisiting this matter now, nor in discussing this matter further, publicly or privately. In fact it would be extremely painful to do so.

She is grateful that she was able to return to her government career, where she is extremely happy serving the American people to the best of her ability. She looks forward to continuing to work hard for them as we face the significant challenges that lie ahead.

She wishes to thank the media for the restraint that they have shown, her family – especially her sisters – for their love and support, her colleagues and supervisors for their patience and forbearance and her advisors for their wise counsel, and most of all, her dear husband of 26 years for standing by her and putting up with all of this.

Everyone is entitled to be treated with dignity and respect in the workplace. Sexual harassment is unfortunately very much alive and with us even today, and women must fight it in all kinds of workplaces and at all levels.

My client stands by the complaint she made.”

My “take” on this is that this lady may have had a fling or two with Cain, was married at the time, and to take the blame off of herslef, she filed a complaint with the NRA to save her marriage.

Interesting that she wants the allegations out there, but doesn’t want to go in to details.

I would be all for “outing” this woman. The problem I have is that she allowed her lawyer to discuss this issue with the media for a week BEFORE deciding not to pursue it further.

SCREAMS of someone who is simply wanting money, and the easy way to that for a woman, sad to say, is to claim that an “affair” was “sexual harassment”.

GOLD DIGGER comes to mind.

Knowing the media is left leaning, her lawyer probably figured that it would be another easy way to some big dollars, so he opened his mouth, and his “client”, after thinking about the consequences and questions that were being asked, decided to keep it as it is.

A man had an affair wih a woman, not a huge revelation, although I am AGAINST this action, I’m not disqualifying Cain because his male instincts got the best of him.

A story made in the media, trying to decide for us who is best to be President.

I’m glad Cain stuck to his story. I’m not sure what “differing comments made by Cain” that I have read about on the net the last few days. The ONLY statement I have heard Cain say is that he DENIES the allegations (which to me means it was CONSENTUAL and NOT sexual harassment)..

I just can’t believe that the media isn’t telling the WHOLE story. Beat up Cain who has not waivered in his DENIAL, and leave the woman anonymous while HER statements have changed as admitted by her lawyer.

Why are people allowed to attempt to ruin someone while remaining anonymous?

And why doesn’t the media report on Larry Sinclair’s allegations of sex with Obama while he was a State Senator in Illinois? Larry’s NOT anonymous, and has SPECIFIC details of what happened, but yet the media has NEVER reported on it.

Hypocrisy at it’s best.
