The Obama Administration has threatened to veto legislation that begins the process of shutting down the TARP bailout program and saves taxpayers $8 billion – the latest example of the Democrats who run Washington fighting for an unacceptable status quo.
In a “Statement of Administration Policy,” the White House defends its veto threat by arguing the TARP program Republicans aim to eliminate with H.R. 830 is “vital to the Nation’s sustained economic recovery.” How many people have used this “vital” program? 44.
Despite the program’s failure, more than $8 billion in TARP funds have been set aside by the Administration to keep it going. That’s why, as the Washington Post reports, H.R. 830 “would terminate” this TARP program “and put the unused funds toward paying down the deficit.”

I’m all for shutting down TARP, but that still leaves an additional $92 billion in cuts that needs to be made if Republicans are going to honor their campaign promise to cut $100 billion.

Wow, I am amazed how we always get concerned over keeping promises when it is on the right. the liar in cheats broken promises would probably cause James to have to buy more room on this blog.
As for TARP, I must have fallen asleep for a year of two as I don’t remember them ever changing that legislation into a slush fund for the sleaze ball in the people’s house? It seems that he has a bad habit of taking the money bills that got passed and turned them into his own private funds to reward his buddies.
The TARP money went to the oligarchy’s banks all over the world through the hands of the slippery slimey bernanke the oligarchy’s pet monkey. And the stimulus bill for the shovel ready jobs went mostly to democratic governors to save their butts temporarily from bankrupcy.
The poor serfs that were waiting for the jobs are still waiting. Not just for jobs but for big ears to spread the wealth around. He seems to be a little slower than they thought he’d be. Rember the phone call for the obama money? Their probably still calling for it but they are a little wiser on watching the phone calls. Jarrett has hired the phone police and they take lessons from the pit bull, michelle. They don’t like it when we make funnies out of them.
The only, “sustained economic recovery” that took place with the TARP money was in the foreign cuntries that the money receiving banks resided in. Strange I wasn’t aware that the American people were responsible for the economic well being of foreign countries. Oh well you learn something new every day!
Last but not least bonehead is not just a weeping willy he is also a traitor and he has his nerve saying anything about anyone the coward.

No you didn’t fall asleep. Obama likes having the funds at his disposal to circumvent the law. Yes lib watchers, we know that the right has done similar. I just do not remember it ever being so “blatant” and “in your face” as it is with this Empty Suit.
