The worst weather on record coupled with the practice of speculation in the commodities markets are set to send food prices skyrocketing, bringing misery and starvation to large swathes of the world’s population. Are we set to see food riots this winter?
In the USA, Walmart has already announced a price hike of 5.8% on average for a 31-item basic basket for this Autumn. The long-term rise, however, is far more frightening, with the UNO predicting an increase of 60 per cent by 2030.

Lyndsey Williams predicted this and he also predicted exactly when it would start and that was back in the spring of this year. I have been stocking up since that time. But it will never be enough for what is coming down the pike.
I hope people are preparing because even the prices now will be a bargain compared to where they are going.
” loaf of bread for a days wages” scary isn’t it!

Well, that was an exercise in futility.
Lakin’s Discovery request denied.

HRD,
Why do you relish in Lakin losing his ability to defend himself?
I’m hoping Lakin’s lawyers bring this issue up at every opportunity, it will open the door for appeals.
Lakin’s reason for not following orders is because Obama hasn’t proven he is eligible.
IF the Judge would allow the defense to present their case, and it is proven Obama is eligible, then Lakin could take his punishment like a man.
As it is now, Obama won’t prove he was born at Kapialoni, as he has asserted in the letter to the hospital.
Until that happens, the questions will remain.

Hey All,
When asked:
“Why do you relish in Lakin losing his ability to defend himself?”
HRD replies:
“Because once again, good has triumphed over evil.”
THAT statement “says” volumes.
When someone loses the ability to defend him/her self, HRD believes that is a “good” thing.
Folks, let that sink in for a moment. Read the words, then reread the words. Put yourself in a position where a “court” takes away your RIGHT to defend yourself, and see if you believe that is “good”.
No need to make further comment.

In some cases, it absolutely is.
As in this case.

HRD responds about Lakin being unable to present a defense:
“In some cases, it absolutely is.
As in this case.”
Again folks, let that sink in. That’s the mind set of those who believe they are “better” than you.
Lakin ought to be able to present the defense he wants, and let the cards fall where they will.
Lakin swore an oath to the CONSTITUTION, and the Constitution states that only a “natural born citizen” can be the President.
It’s a legitimate defense, it’s not some “off the wall” defense.
Anyway, just read HRD’s words, he actually believes those words.

Too bad nobody with actual legal knowledge agrees.
His oath is to protect and defend it, not interpret it.
That’s way above his pay grade.

Hey All,
HRD replied:
“Too bad nobody with actual legal knowledge agrees.”
Too bad that you do NOT have to have “legal knowledge” to understand that in the United States of America you can present your defense and allow the jury to determine whether it’s a legit defense or not. Unless of course you are asking whther or not the President is eligible to serve.
Then HRD responds with this:
“His oath is to protect and defend it, not interpret it.”
He’s NOT trying to “interpret” the Constitution. All he’s doing is asking a simple question.
You probably don’t understand about asking questions, because you believe that asking questions about Obama’s eligibility are “out of bounds”.
You probably didn’t ask many questions in school, did you HRD?
(For the rest of the comment, HRD shows just how “smart” he is. He can’t even figure out how to produce a comment that I can understand who was commenting what)
I believe this is HRD’s next comment:
“Why do you keep saying that? Even the judge has not told you it’s not true.”
The judge is WRONG. Lakin should be allowed to present the defense he wants.
And HRD concludes with this:
“So apparently does the judge.”
YOU and the judge are WRONG.
Judges are known to be wrong you know.
You are the other hand, have been proven wrong on more than one occassion.

Not surprising food prices are going up in my country.
In spite of New Zealand producing only about 0.02% of world CO2 emissions We now have a emissions trading system which is inexorably pushing up food prices along with every other commodity. Yes it does take energy to grow and distribute food.
By my estimation as an economist, if we aim for 40% CO2 reductions from 1990 levels, thats about 57% less than today, the price of energy will be so high, as will food and other essentials, that the economy will simply fall over. In otherwords this is likely to make the great depression look like tiddlywinks.
What ever you do, do not let your government do to you what our government is doing to us.
Cheers
Roger

Roger,
Welcome to the site, nice to hear from someone from your part of the world.
Your right, we are in a downward plunge to put it mildly and the depression will look like a picnic. I am afraid that even if we have elections and take both houses it still wont help.
The usurper still sits in the White House with his communist czars and administration so they can continue to do us damage even though the liar in chief doesn’t get any more lunatic bills passed. We just have to keep praying for divine intervention.
I don’t think we deserve any and my gut feeling is we are not going to get any and that is also our fault because we have allowed God to be kicked out of everything. We may not have all done that but there are those that hate Him and don’t want any mention of Him anywhere but those that do know Him and believe in Him did nothing to stop the other part of our country for the damage they did. So we may have to reap what we sowed, indifference.
