In 2010, Conservatives Still Outnumber Moderates, Liberals
Last year’s increase in conservatism among independents is holding

PRINCETON, NJ — Conservatives have maintained their leading position among U.S. ideological groups in the first half of 2010. Gallup finds 42% of Americans describing themselves as either very conservative or conservative. This is up slightly from the 40% seen for all of 2009 and contrasts with the 20% calling themselves liberal or very liberal.

Polls make me sick and I think they are used by both parties to lie to the population.
Having said that we the people are not used to using our brains and we have a tendency to want to be on the winning side, and we also like to root for the underdog, therefore we have the 2008 debacle, whereby we have elected the most evil man in the history of this country to be a usurper who sits in the oval office of the White House.
Now it seems we have learned some kind of lesson, what that is exactly, I am not sure of. Our country is in dire straights and about to go under, a huge portion of our country is in jeopardy of loosing their lives, homes, jobs and wealth as we sit around our kitchen tables wringing our hands wondering what it is that we should do and not doing a thing.
It seems to me that we are paying a staggering price to pay for a season of naievity and or stupidity.
Maybe sometime in the very near future we will poll we the people to find out what we intend to do about this mess?
May the Lord forgive us our transgressions and grant us mercy.

Hey All,
I believe the number is MUCH higher than that.
Not Republicans, CONSERVATIVES.
The Republican Party is not conservative anymore.
We have got to do something about this run away spending, and the taxing of every part of our lives.
A conference committee yesterday agreed on another 2000 page “bill” to “fix” the financial issues.
Another 2000 page idiotic piece of crap that does nothing more than restrict what financial institutions can and can not do.
I believe it is the goal of this Administration to make it where we have NO choices. Everything will be the same, no matter where you want to invest, save or borrow.
Competition is gone. Free market is a thing of the past.
As Gumply so eloquently comments:
God help us.

Well, we’re 3 for 3 here.
The next biggest push will be to put the “information genie” back into the bottle. And THAT will be when “they” make their move for organized chaos.
The left marxists are telling us that “it is not about methodology” regarding the way they are passing bills; and the wimpy “right” has no message, since they are still waiting to see if the American People mean business.
Businesses can’t plan for the future. The average person has no place to EARN on investments. Our POTUS is making friends with foreign thugs. And our foreign allies have been pushed aside. And we have an ego-maniac running the country.
I’m not sure how far they can NUDGE the Public without a real SHOVE BACK.
