WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and Said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as Long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every Nation a veto.
The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush ‘S Administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national Controls were better.
On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms In the United States . The Obama administration intends to force gun control And a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of International treaties with foreign nations. By signing international Treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be Subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws That have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg . The Laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation Of all firearms.
The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun Control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US Citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the Public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in The United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in Secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to International treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is Telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun Control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one Morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits Firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.
This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care Will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means Necessary, so will gun control.

Hey All,
The problem with this scenerio is that the Senate has to ratify ANY treaty the United States signs on too, and thus the Supreme Court could come in to play.
Here is what really gets me about this man who is our President:
The man LIES.
He says one thing, and then turns right around and does exactly what he said he wouldn’t do.
Like the promise he made while on the campaign trail saying that anyone who made under 250 grand would not see a tax increase on ANY tax.
As I recall it, it was, “not your payroll taxes, not your income taxes, not your capital gains taxes, NOT ANY TAX.”
But one of the first pieces of legislation HE signed was a tax increase on tobacco, which is a tax INCREASE, and some that are affected by this are people who make under 250 grand.
George Bush the First lost his job for a “read my lips, no new taxes” pledge. Why is it that when the election comes around in a couple of years, I’m thinking the media won’t even give ten seconds to this “little” LIE.
How about the “Gitmo will be closed within one year” pledge? Gitmo is still open, the prisoners are still there, and the last artcile I read on the matter said that Congress wasn’t going to allocate the funds for the Government to buy that prison in Illinois.
This ought to hit home with the “progressive” movement. The man LIED right through his teeth, and you will never convence me that he honestly thought that Gitmo would be closed within a year of him signing that EO.
He told us that illegals wouldn’t be covered by the health care law, but he didn’t tell us that he was going to “go around” that by giving the illegals amnesty, now did he? That’s technically not a lie, but it sure does border on it, and I mean “toes to the line” bordering on it. Besides, he also told us that “death panels” weren’t in the bill, but low and behold, the man LIED, because there they are, deciding what treatments are going to be allowed depending on certain criteria, like AGE.
I could go on, but I’ll limit it to one more.
The man flat out LIED about the Arizona Immigration law. The law strictly PROHIBITS the story he told about a man taking his kid out for ice cream. Unless the man broke the law while taking his kid to get some ice cream, the officer is prohibited from making contact with the man. But what is SO ironic about this, is that the FEDERAL LAW allows FEDERAL AGENTS to do exactly what Obama said that Arizona does. The Federal Law gives the Federal Agent no restirctions on when they can or can not make contact with someone and ask for their papers. So Obama thinks it is alright for the Federals to do it, but not ok for State or Locals to do it, even though they come in to contact with those who could be illegal on a daily basis. Not only is Obama a LIAR in this instance, he’s also a HYPOCRITE.
It really is scarey to me. The man flat out LIES, and then goes on his little smile parade from one end of the stage to the other, nose pointed skyward, those teeth showing, and his arm raised above his head waving. His mind has got to be telling him “You’ve got them right where you want them”, as he continues his strut.
It’s about time we let him know the “gig is up”.
By the way, does anyone but me find it ironic that Obama finds time for Marv Albert (of all other people, watch it Barack, he may BITE you), but he can’t squeeze a Press Conference in to let the Country know where he plans to take our Country next or answer for what he has already done? He had like 10 Press Conferences up until almost a year ago, and all of a sudden, BLAMMO, no more Obama on our screen every couple of weeks answering questions. He could have at least weaned us from him.
November of 2010 can’t come quick enough.

thanks Stothes for the insight. However, when taken with everything else happening with the economy, Greece, etc., it is probably more fact than opinion today.
