Sharpton’s ex & kid cuffed in ‘cop rage’

The rabble-rousing Rev should give his daughter a sermon about road rage.

The Rev. Al Sharpton’s ex-wife and daughter were arrested last night after berating a pair of Harlem cops who pulled them over for running a red light in the wrong lane to get around their slow-moving, unmarked cruiser, sources told The Post.

Kathy Jordan, 53, and her daughter, Dominique Sharpton, 23, were handcuffed and hauled to a precinct, where the raging reverend’s daughter tried to no avail to get off the hook because of her family ties, the sources said.

They were issued desk appearance tickets before being set free.

I received this book review of Larry Sinclair’s book “Barack Obama and Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies, and Murder”, and I was asked to post it, with permission:

A Review of Barack Obama and Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies, and Murder?, by Lawrence W. Sinclair

Virtually everyone has heard about Larry Sinclair and his allegations regarding a couple of days he spent with Barack Obama in Chicago in 1999. After a highly orchestrated whitewashing by the mainstream media of the story, and after being blackballed by every single book publisher he contacted regarding the publication of his story, Larry Sinclair decided to start his own publishing company, and this is the first book from Sinclair Publishing.

It is a plain and simple question:

Is it Constitutional to FORCE every single American to buy health insurance coverage?

FYI: The term “SHALL” appears more than 3000 Times in the House 1900+ pages of legislation!

The polls in New York’s 23rd Cngressional District will open in less than 72 hours, and at this last moment, the NRCC appears to have egg on its face. The Republican (in name only) backed candidate, Dede Scozzafava, has withdrawn from the race.

As of yesterday, her opponent, Doug Hoffman, a conservative running on principles rather than party, was neck and neck with the Democratic candidate, Bill Owens. Historically, the district has voted Republican, which is one reason President Obama chose Rep. John McHugh (R) to be the Secretary of the Army, with the hopes of a Democrat winning the seat on the 2008 election coattails of Obama.

Scozzafava’s withdrawal puts an even brighter spotlight on this special election, sine the Republican Party had split its big name endorsements. Newt Gingrich had lined up behind the party’s choice, while Fred Thompson, Sarah Palin and Tim Pawlenty had aligned with the Conservative Hoffman. The election results will have affect on the Republicans going forward, as well as upon the Obama White House and its agenda, and it will show the cumulative affect of the Tea Party movement.

The Republicans are almost assured that they will take the Governor seat in Virginia, and probably the Lt. Governor and Attorney General spot as well. The DNC is pulling out all the stars this weekend to campaign for Gov. Jon Corzine as he battles to retain his seat in New jersey. The polls have the race so very close that the DNC is scared.

And then there is the tiny 23rd Congressional District in New York, where the liberal RNC candidate has been written off by the NRCC as of this weekend, and there is a possibility that the Conservative candidate may be a threat to the Democratic candidate.

The results of these three races may well shape the outcome of ObamaCare, and possibly the remainder of the 39 moths of the Obama presidency. If 2 of these races go to the Republicans, the moderates, the Blue Dogs, may well run from the ObamaCare.

Add the Associated Press and car researcher Edmunds.com to the list of “they are the problem”… you know, the list that includes FOXNews and the US Chamber of Commerce.:

CNN:

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — A total of 690,000 new vehicles were sold under the Cash for Clunkers program last summer, but only 125,000 of those were vehicles that would not have been sold anyway, according to an analysis released Wednesday by the automotive Web site Edmunds.com.

Still, auto sales contributed heavily to the economy’s expansion in the third quarter, adding 1.7 percentage points to the nation’s gross domestic product growth.

The Cash for Clunkers program gave car buyers rebates of up to $4,500 if they traded in less fuel-efficient vehicles for new vehicles that met certain fuel economy requirements. A total of $3 billion was allotted for those rebates.

The average rebate was $4,000. But the overwhelming majority of sales would have taken place anyway at some time in the last half of 2009, according to Edmunds.com. That means the government ended up spending about $24,000 each for those 125,000 additional vehicle sales.

Could CBS be Next (better be careful Katie:):

When Katie Couric and the folks at CBS start doubting what the Administration says about how effective February’s economic stimulus package was, you know President Obama is in trouble.Consider that on Thursday’s CBS “Evening News,” Chip Reid began a segment with the following startling statement about a jobs report card to be released by the White House Friday:

Well, Katie, that report is going to claim that the stimulus has already created or saved hundreds of thousands of jobs, but if the administration`s first effort at counting stimulus jobs is any guide, tomorrow`s numbers could be hard to believe.

Readers are advised to make sure youngsters are out of the room, for watching Katie and the Gang say the White House might be fudging numbers could be way too frightening for minors (video embedded below the fold with transcript, h/t Terri Green, file photo):

Charles Krauthammer recently penned this column about the “three Envelopes” the Josef Stalin left to Nikita Kruschhev during the Cold War:

Old Soviet joke:

Moscow, 1953. Stalin calls in Khrushchev.

“Niki, I’m dying. Don’t have much to leave you. Just three envelopes. Open them, one at a time, when you get into big trouble.”

A few years later, first crisis. Khrushchev opens envelope 1: “Blame everything on me. Uncle Joe.”

A few years later, a really big crisis. Opens envelope 2: “Blame everything on me. Again. Good luck, Uncle Joe.”

Third crisis. Opens envelope 3: “Prepare three envelopes.”

Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in 2006, promised an above the board clean and ethical Congress. Despite that claim, Rep. Charlie Rangel still sits at the head of the Ways and Mean Committee, writing our tax laws and making donations to the campaigns of those who sit in the Ethics Committee (highly ethical!!).

Today, it was announced that a staffer had, in error, posted a listing of several Congressman who were the subject of review by the Ethics Committee. A review by the Ethics Committee is not an indictment of wrongdoing. But the committee has voted to pursue two investigations based on complaints against Rep. Maxine Waters and Rep. Laura Richardson.

Waters, who has publicly stated that “this liberal” wants to take over the big businesses, is under investigation for possible improprieties in conjunction with federal money going to her husband’s bank.

Richardson was the subject of a home foreclosure, and after the foreclosure sale, deed transfer, and statutory time period, the Bank rescinded all actions and gave the home back to the Congresswoman.

Note: Rep. Waters’ husband is Sidney Williams. While Ms. Waters is entitled to keep her maiden name, this investigation makes clear why the public should be aware of who the spouses of the Legislators might be.

They truly think that the American people believe what they say simply because it emanates from the mouth of the Obama.

Politico is reporting on the list of White House visitors that has been released, which includes Mayor Richard Daley, Michael Moore, and George Soros. Also on the list is William “Bill” Ayres and Jeremiah Wright. In true Obama form, the following qualifier was included:

“Visitor logs released by the White House late Friday show that a host of prominent people have been spending time at the executive mansion, including liberal powerhouses George Soros and former vice president Al Gore.
The White House warned prominently of false hits among the names. Names like Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayres are on the list, but are not the same people who caused problems for Obama in the campaign. The “John Edwards” listed in the records is not the same as the disgraced former Democratic presidential candidate, a White House spokesman said.”
