With the Chapter 11 filing for Bankruptcy Court protections, the government directed restructuring ( and skewing of the law) of General Motors has begun. That being said, we all now own 70% of the automaker!!

Hey All,
As I commented when we started ALL of these bailouts: it’s stupid, irresponsible and fiscally unfeasable for the Government to try to help these companies out.
It would have saved the taxpayers 29 BILLION dollars, and GM would have already come out of bankruptcy if they would have just let them file back in December.
This President is incompetent. No ands ifs or buts about it. When a Government takes control of companies, it’s called socialism. It has never worked in the past, and our future looks absolutely dire.
They should have let free market work. It’s too late now.
God help us.

Your ignorance never ceases to amaze me.
You’d better open your eyes, and close your ears. The man says anything.
He’s spent more than 1.3 TRILLION dollars in 5 months, and what do we have to show for it? Banks still have their hands out, the automakers took our money and then still filed bankruptcy, unemployment continues to rise, the housing market is worse than when Obama took office, and inflation is just around the corner.
Next up, the ruining of our health care system, controlling the internet, FEMA Camps, letting known terrorists roam our streets, cap and trade, a value added tax (how’s that tax cut doing for everyone?), and regulating backyard gardens so people can’t grow their own food.
When will you realize that the man does not have the best interests of ordinary people on his mind?
All of this, and he won’t prove he is eligible to hold the office of President.
