NY Times “Killed” October Story that Linked Obama to ACORN: Reporter told Ex-Acorn member that story would be “a Game Changer”.

     An ex-ACORN member, who has testified before Congress on the illegal activities of ACORN and their assistance to the Obama campaign, has said that the reporter from the New York Times told her that the ACORN story would NOT BE RUN because, in the view of the editors, it was too damaging to Obama, and wuld be a “Game Changer“!

The Philadelphia Bulletin reports that the New York Times – “all the news that’s fit to print” – sat on an election-season about illegal ties between the Obama campaign and ACORN because it could have been a “game-changer.”

Heather Heidelbaugh, who represented the Pennsylvania Republican State Committee in the lawsuit against the group, recounted for the ommittee what she had been told by a former ACORN worker who had worked in the group’s Washington, D.C. office. The former worker, Anita Moncrief, told Ms. Heidelbaugh last October, during the state committee’s litigation against ACORN, she had been a “confidential informant for several months to The New York Times reporter, Stephanie Strom.”

Ms. Moncrief had been providing Ms. Strom with information about ACORN’s election activities. Ms. Strom had written several stories based on information Ms. Moncrief had given her.

During her testimony, Ms. Heidelbaugh said Ms. Moncrief had told her The New York Times articles stopped when she revealed that the Obama presidential campaign had sent its maxed-out donor list to ACORN’s Washington, D.C. office.

This demands further investigation. If the Obama campaign did indeed send out this ‘maxed-out donor list,’ it acted in breach with campaign financing laws. Furthermore, ACORN faced severe criticism last year for illegally influencing the vote (by registering dead people for instance). American voters would not have liked it that Obama coordinated his efforts with this extreme-left organization.

If true, the NYT lost all the respect I once had for this major investigative newspaper. Killing a story out of political reasons is what political operatives not what journalists do.

In other words, while it was OK to print stories abot John McCain and a lobbyist, based on unnamed sources, the NEW YORK TIMES ceased doing stories on ACORN when it became apparent that the stories would damage their Candidate, the Chosen One!

Barack Obama is a rookie in a sense that few other Presidents in American history have ever been. It is not just that he has never been President before. He has never had any position of major executive responsibility in any kind of organization where he was personally responsible for the outcome.

Other first-term Presidents have been governors, generals, cabinet members or others in positions of personal responsibility. A few have been senators, like Barack Obama, but usually for longer than Obama, and had not spent half their few years in the senate running for President.

What is even worse than making mistakes is having sycophants telling you that you are doing fine when you are not. In addition to all the usual hangers-on and supplicants for government favors that every President has, Barack Obama has a media that will see no evil, hear no evil and certainly speak no evil.

Obama The Pusher

Obama, “The Pusher” ?

 

Remember that phrase?  It was used in the 1960′s to describe someone who sold (pushed) illegal drugs in the school yards, to introduce them to young 1st time users. 

 

Yes, there was a time when kids were not hanging out on the streets looking for the drugs… it was the PUSHER hanging out on the streets recruiting new users.

At first, the PUSHER would hand-out the drugs at no charge, and then, eventually over time, the kids would seek out the PUSHER to purchase the drugs…  Their cravings and demand, getting stronger each time.

 

The addiction to the drugs would take away the user’s FREE WILL.  No matter the price, both financially and physically, the user had to have the drugs.  And the PUSHER became more powerful.

 

The goal was accomplished:  Get the users ”hooked” creating a lifelong relationship, which eventually trickled down to other generations.  The PUSHER has job security and a bottomless pit of financial strength, regardless of laws and punishment. 

 

From there we grew our government programs to fight the war on drugs and to cure our addicts.  You know the continuing, neverending, story……

 

I see another addiction on the rise.  Another enabler,…  lurking, recruiting, guaranteeing generational security.  And it is heading our way, straight from the Obama Administration.

 

So what is Obama PUSHING?

 

My friend Lincoln is honest, reliable, and he works very hard at his 2.5 jobs.

 

Lincoln has his own tree/lawn service for the last 15 years, and offers very competitive pricing.  His customers have been loyal since Lincoln is very trustworthy and never suggests unnecessary work. He has ethics.

 

He works very hard during the week, and then at night, he goes to his 2nd job where he is a supervisor in someone else’s, office cleaning business, making slightly more than minimum wage.  He works this job 3 – 5 evenings/week for 3 or 4 hours/night.

 

AND occasionally, he keeps his auto mechanic skills up to date, by taking “spill over” jobs from a local shop owner, who tows vehicles to Lincoln‘s front yard for repair.

 

He enjoys his weekends off, spending quality time with his son – no partying, drinking, dating, for him.  

 

For the last year he has been remodeling his home, which he will own in 2 more years by paying off this debt. 

 

People gather to admire his lush landscaped yard and to compliment him on his construction skills.  Who knows?  This could turn out to be another way for him to make money.  He is a very handy guy.

 

He is a single father of a 12 year old son and is a great provider for him in all ways that matter.  He periodically takes his son to work with him and his son is learning horticulture and construction from his dad, hands-on.

 

Lincoln is involved in his son’s education and he takes great pride that his son eats a hearty breakfast each morning, and, is one of the few kids that iron his own shirts in the morning before he goes to school; shirt tail tucked in and pants pulled up to his waist.

 

Lincoln is a responsible dad, and he teaches his son to shop for VALUE, instead of succumbing to social pressures, by buying LABELS at exorbitant prices.  He has instilled the value of saving money for the future, and being frugal.

 

Lincoln also owns several pieces of valuable vacant land and one rental property.   He is sure to tell you that he never borrows money except to pay for his homes.

 

This is one industrious man.  He is well liked by everyone who knows him.  Folks know that if they are in need, they can count on Lincoln.

 

Even his ex-wife who now lives down the street with her new husband (not his son’s mother), will on occasion ask favors of Lincoln, including small financial loans.  He never turns her down.  He has even gone so far as to work on her husband’s truck, at no charge to them.

 

Lincoln works hard, makes great money, possesses important moral values that he passes down to his son, made some good financial investments…. so what’s Lincoln‘s problem?  What is Lincoln addicted to?  Who is his PUSHER?

 

From what I have described above, does it sound like Lincoln needs government assistance?  Does it appear that he can qualify for government assistance?

 

Two months ago, on a Friday afternoon, Lincoln‘s son flipped over the top of his bicycle and sustained some injuries.  It was suspected, by the dangling hand, that his son had broken his wrist.  Lincoln wrapped his son’s wrist tightly and started making some phone calls.

 

It was on this occasion that I discovered, my friend Lincoln, was unnecessarily reliant on the aid of my tax dollar. He was raised during the height of the “victim” era and takes government assistance dollars and services, every way they are available to him.  Even if he doesn’t “need” it.

 

While his son’s wrist was broken on Friday, Lincoln did not take his son to see a doctor until the following Monday because the physician who works in the Community Child Care Resources, Inc. facility,  would not be available to see his son, until then. 

 

It occurred to him that he could find another doctor to see his son, but then he would have to use his own dollar to pay the bill.  He decided to wait.

 

The CCCR is a subsidized resource center that provides a myriad of medical services and programs to low income families.

 

As it turned out, the “free” doctor’s schedule was so over-booked with so many weekend injuries, and, Lincoln was very stressed at seeing his son in so much pain….so, he felt that he had no other choice but to take his son to another doctor (private physician) and had to PAY out of pocket $760 for them to RE-BREAK his son’s wrist and put on a cast. 

 

He said he may file a complaint with the County, because they should have more than one doctor available for this program.

 

When Lincoln recollected the story to me, he was very distraught over the fact that he could not complete his home remodeling project for at least another month because of this unexpected expense.

 

Lincoln has CHOSEN not to carry medical insurance on himself or his family.  He is exercising his Free Will.

 

The government has been “assisting” Lincoln, and most everyone he knows, for so long, it just seems to be a natural way of life!  It is just a matter of fact.  The way things are supposed to be.  The way things are in his world.

 

Can he afford medical insurance?  Of course he can.  But why should he buy it?  What would be the incentive to spend his own money?

 

Funny thing about FREE WILL…  we believe we have the right to make a CHOICE.  Remember, God GAVE us Free Will.

 

We have the freedom of choice to spend our money in ways we feel, benefit us the most. 

 

Lincoln has the strength to use his FREE WILL with regards to how to spend his money, but cannot see the harm of using MY money…

 

I don’t get a choice in this matter. 

 

Lincoln no longer has FREE WILL when it comes to using programs funded by my tax dollar.  He is an addict and the government is the PUSHER.  Once nationalized health care, in any form, is adopted, Obama will be the most successful PUSHER of our time.  His constituents are waiting for this drug to hit the streets.

 

See, Lincoln lives in a neighborhood that has been designated (by government) to be a Community Redevelopment Zone.  This means that any tax collected in his neighborhood, STAYS in his neighborhood.

 

Just residing within this zone allows him access to tax dollars for nearly EVERYTHING he needs.  PLUS, he can qualify for other state funds or federal funds to help provide other services, for his family.  He’s “on it all”.

 

Plus he has minority status; he is an African-American.  He does not have to go out to LOOK for a “fix”.  The government brings it to his door, his entire life.  It would take years of therapy to get him off this drug.

 

He only pays taxes on his evening job as a supervisor at the cleaning service, so he must report it, since he receives an accountable paycheck. This minimal amount of income allows him to qualify for “benefits”.

 

So, all of his other income earned is “under the table”.  He works hard to maintain his “needy” status.  And he does not think he is doing anything wrong or immoral.  Seriously, this whole process appears totally NORMAL and is expected by him. 

 

He is addicted to these social programs, and Obama is going to help supply him with this “drug” for the rest of his life, AND his son’s life.  He will always be beholding to Obama & Co.

 

Lincoln does not think about his earning potential… what if he went “legit”?  How much more money would he/could he, earn, if he were to pay some taxes?  Who could HE HIRE to finish the remodeling of his home?

 

No, he is happy staying under the radar, sure not to be detected, so he can continue to “earn” his Obama benefits.

 

What Obama and the far left liberal government has not taken into consideration when promoting nationalized health care,  is the FREE WILL of the people! 

 

TO PAY, OR NOT TO PAY, for their own medical health care with their own dollar.  In many cases today, it is NOT A PRIORITY to spend your hard earned, UNtaxed dollar, on medical insurance.  Even if you can afford it.

 

I wonder what would happen if Lincoln started reporting all of his income… would he still be able to qualify for all of these benefits?  Would he be cut-off and then become outraged that his neighbors are using his tax dollars to pay for benefits they do not deserve? 

 

Is Lincoln the only one addicted to this drug?  Of course not. 

 

I have a neighbor who hires an illegal alien as a nanny for her toddler. 

 

She pays the nanny an unreported, $1500/month. 

 

The Chinese nanny lives with her LEGALLY immigrated, daughter and husband. 

 

She pays no rent, no food expense, no TAXES and, no medical insurance.  Her medical treatments are pre-paid, by me, because of her very existence in the USA.

 

She sends most of her money to her family in her homeland.  She hand delivers it once per year since she cannot mail it or wire it to a communist bank.  USDollar is still quite valuable in China and can be exchanged to other currency easily, on the black market.

 

My neighbor voted for Obama. 

 

Her primary reason was her belief that health care is a “right” for all… regardless of their status.  She looked at me, as if confused, when I reminded her that our tax dollars already provide benefits for her nanny.

 

Can the nanny afford health care?  Of course she can.  But she is exercising her freedom of choice.. and of all things, the rights she does not possess in her own country.

 

She already gets it for “FREE”.

 

So many addicts; too few programs…. Hence, Obama the PUSHER will fix that.

Where to From Here: Leading the Charge, or on the Sidelines?; Knowledge is Power, but what will we do with that Power?

      The economy, the election of Barack Obama, and the ever-present “Clear and Present Danger” that his policies are and will have on our lives has begun to have the grassroots rumblings throughout our great Nation. Rick Santlli’s live TV rant regarding the massive spending spree of the liberals in Washington has ignited the populace, without regard to political affiliation.

     I recently told my wife that we know that “Knowledge is Power, but only if we use that Knowledge“

     So with the knowledge that we have about our President and his incompetent appointees, with the knowledge that our elected officials are continuing to put their personal and political gain ahead of the “best interests” of the country (i.e- not READING LEGISLATION), where do we go from here?

      We must understand what is at stake here. The issues that are impacting the America our grandparents left us go to our core values:

                               Family Values, with attacks on the sanctity of marriage, government intrusion into parental rights (such as education decisions), and challenges to our Freedom of Religion and our Freedom of Speech.

                               Immigration concerns and their impact on our economy and society.

                               Isolationism versus global leadership

                               The disregard that our leaders have for our Constitution, and the manner in which the new administration is seeking to move us toward socialism, the use of sharia law, and the outspoken denegratrion of our American society.

      Where do we go from here? The national patriotic movements of “Tea Parties” that have occurred across the country demonstrate that the American people are aware of what is going on and that they know there must be a change. But, the real question is “Do we have the COURAGE to face the issues, to face our leaders and DEMAND the changes that are necessary?” This country was built upon a revolution from the tyranny of the monarchy in England, by LEADERS with the COURAGE to stand up for their beliefs. They were LEADERS willing to lead the charge, to stand on their PRINCIPLES, to not fear the challenge.

        Our country’s direction must change now, and the ultimate question is will you LEAD the CHARGE, or sit on the SIDELINES!

Military Officer felt “Snubbed” by Obama actions at Camp LeJeune

A note from a retired Marine Colonel.  

 
       Hi, this is one of many e-mails out of the Camp LeJeune area regarding Obama’s recent visit.  Most report that the visit was closely orchestrated by Obama’s handlers to ensure he got the best photo ops.  Here’s one typical comment:  But my main point would be, why did it tee me off to hear Obama spout out Semper Fi and OooRah! This moron has no right to be trying to sound like he knows what we share!!! I am surprised he did not wear his basketball t-shirt with USMC in bold. The only thing as bad was Kerry “Reporting for duty” with a salute!
       Well, the enemy knows our plan now! I would not want to be a civilian contractor in Baghdad in 2010; or an Iraqi anywhere in country who had helped America!

         Obama skips National Anthem at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune

         Camp LeJeune, NC — President Barack Obama did NOT come out on stage for the singing of the National Anthem at his Camp LeJeune speech given at 12:00 Noon today.

         The Marine Band played “Ruffles and Flourishes” but Obama did not come out. The Secretary of Defense, Marine Corps Generals and a Navy Admiral came out. The Marine Corps Chaplain came out and said a Prayer.

         A lone female sang the National Anthem and after it was sung, the Marine Band again played “Ruffles and Flourishes,” a speaker introduced the President and only then did the Band play “Hail to the Chief” and did President Obama come out.

         This struck me as very odd. Why did the President not come out for the prayer? Why did the President not come out for the National Anthem?

         This was no mistake. This was a slap in the face by the President, to the entire nation and it did not go unnoticed.

Luke Rudkowski Framed in “Classic Set-up”

Calling in to the Alex Jones show today, WeAreChange founder and political activist Luke Rudkowski said he was set-up for arrest at the Hilton Hotel on Manhattan last Saturday. Luke was at the hotel in order to ask New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg about his refusal to help with the medical costs of 9/11 first responders. Bloomberg had promised to address the issue but has since ignored the pleas of WeAreChange and others to help first responders.

Rudkowski said Bloomberg’s security detail and hotel security claimed he would not leave the hotel. Luke told Jones he asked to leave the premise on numerous occasions and was not allowed to do so.
