Sen. Joe Biden was able to show the American public exactly how the media has allowed the Obama campaign to set the standard for access to them, and how our freedom of press and speech may be altered in the future.
During an interview on Florida’s WFTV, Barbara West asked Sen. Biden some difficult questions, and actually had to confrontational with the Senator as he became angered at the context of her comments, including quotes from Karl Marx.
In the aftermath of the Joe the Plumber comments, it was acceptable for the media to dig into his past and rake him over the coals; it has been reported that government computers in Ohio were used to reveal some of the Joe the Plumber information. It was acceptable to dispatch hundreds of media and investigators to Alaska to dig out the dirt on Gov. Sarah Palin. But how many journalists and camera crews were parked in Hyde Park in front of the home of William Ayers?
WFTV later received a cancellation of Jill Biden’s interview, as well as a notice from the Obama campaign that the likelihood of any further contact with the campaign is unlikely. Can we see what we may face in an Obama administration?
While the leftwing blogosphere whines and cries about the “ineptness” of the anchorwoman, her credentials are impressive, having worked for ABC for 16 years, and she was a principal assistant to the late Peter Jennings. She obviously was not trained at the same school of journalistic ethics that Andrea Mitchell attended!!
UPDATE: As would be expected, the Obama leftist warriors have begun an all out assault on Orlando’s WFTV and their anchor, Barbara West. Please show them support and appreciation for being willing to challenge the Obama team:

Let me also ask the question, “why should the American public not consider you a child molester?” and “can you prove that you have never murdered anyone?” Her question was “why should the American people believe you will not try to turn our country into a communist nation?”
Simply put, the question itself asks one to prove something that is, on it’s face, ridiculous and without a basis in fact.
Same would apply to asking Palin, “what do you say to those who believe you are not the mother of your baby, and that Trig was actually born to your oldest daughter?” These questions are unprofessional and require wearing a tin foil hat to get full impact.

I was so impressed with Barbara West that I sent her a thank you email, telling her that I appreciated her journalistic integrity.

In fairness, the McCain team has banished NYT reporters, in response to the tabloid trash they published last week regarding Cindy McCain. They also had a run in with Campbell Brown of CNN for her verbal attacks on Gov. Palin. Ms. Brown’s show, No Bias No Bull, is anything but that.

Right, left of right, even left, so long as we don’t go so far as “radical”!
