My question on this issue is why does Obama not just release his original? Things on there he doesn’t want to be seen (like citizenship, where he was born, religion, or perhaps his legal name)? His “certification of live birth” is a photoshopped copy off of photobucket. It has been proven a fake (at least in my mind it has been), the evidence that it is a fake is overwhelming.
Thanks for giving us a place to express our opinion on this and other matters.

IB: I agree that there must be something. Now the Obama team has the AFL-CIO addressing the “smears” against him, including the birth certificate issue. But, they are referring the public to the LA Times blogsite, to the same forgery that has been circulating , including on his own smear website.

Now, several experts have determined the shown birth certificate to be a forgery. First, let me say that if you contact your Bureau of Vital Stats, you’d receive a similar looking document. However, Obama will NOT supply his original Certificate of Live Birth. In most states, especially circa 1961, the record will show the Date & Time, vital stats like weight and length, mother name, father name, some stated who supplied the information, the hospital name, doctor name, even type of birth (natural, C-section).

Now a “birth announcement” in the newspaper after his birth is being touted to prove where Obama was born. Again, if we can locate a copy of a newspaper notice, why can we not see the ORIGINAL document?

As much is it hurts to say that the birth announcement, and its source, tend to give a Hawaiian birth valid. I still cannot understand what is so damning on the original document that it cannot be revealed, and a forged one supplied in its place. Is it possible that there is a reason that the Hawaii Vital Stats Records cannot provide a certified copy, similar to what was forged on Obama’s behalf.

Obama Lies About His Birth Records, Identity, and Religious Background
The mystery of Barack Obama’s Birth Certificate is virtually solved. The findings have been disclosed in a series of reports published on two blogs, No Quarter and TexasDarlin, no thanks to the Main Stream Media, which has universally ignored this matter. (Links at the end.)
The following assertions are based on good-faith understandings of the truth, and are presented as theories.

Summary of Obama’s Deception
Barack Obama has misled and deceived the American public about his dual identity, dual citizenship, religious background, and birth records.
He was, and possibly still is, a citizen of Indonesia.
Contrary to Obama’s public statements that he’s “always been a Christian” Obama was at one time a Muslim.
His Hawaiian Birth Certificate reveals the legal name Barry Soetoro. His original Birth Certificate, with the name Barack H. Obama, was sealed.
That is why the Birth Certificate published on his campaign website “FightTheSmears” is fake. Barack Obama does not want you to know about his Soetoro identity.

Obama’s Deception: The Details
The Fake Birth Certificate:
The Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) published on the Obama Campaign’s website “FightTheSmears” has been falsified. Two experts with combined experience of more than 60 years in document analysis and computer forensics are willing to testify if necessary. I have seen their professional qualifications; trust me, they would pass the “expert witness” test with flying colors. Their latest reports are provided below.
Indonesian Citizenship:
Obama acquired Indonesian citizenship when he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro, his step-father. He may still have Indonesian citizenship.
When was Obama going to disclose his Indonesian identity to the American electorate? The legal issues related to dual citizenship can be reasonably argued, and possibly will be.
But the immediate problem at this time, on the eve of the Democratic Convention, is that the “presumed nominee” has lied to the American public by intentionally withholding key information about his background and identity.
Religious Background:
Obama underestimated the tolerance of Americans to accept his Muslim background. As Lolo Soetoro’s son, Barry Soetoro was a Muslim in Indonesia. But Obama has publicly proclaimed that he’s “never been a Muslim.” This claim is highlighted on his “FightTheSmears” website.
Obama has flat-out lied about this part of his life.
Will we hold him accountable for these deceptions?

Dual Citizenship Could Disqualify Obama from the Presidency
Obama has hidden the truth about his Indonesian identity and citizenship because it could disqualify him under Article II of the Constitution. So he thought he’d just ignore it.
Again, the legal issues can be reasonably argued, but when was Obama planning to tell the truth?

New Theory of Birth Certificate Events
Based on Judah Benjamin’s research, backed up by Polarik’s and Techdude’s analyses, I published my new theory of events on Wednesday in Birth Certificate: Obama, Soetoro, or Dunham?
Theory of Birth Certificate Events:
1. Obama was born in Hawaii on Aug. 4, 1961, with the legal name Barack Hussein Obama II, and Barack H. Obama Sr. was identified as his legal father. [NOTE: an alternative theory, that Obama was born in Canada, is still being researched.]
2. Obama was adopted by Lolo Soetoro in Hawaii sometime around 1965-1966.
3. As part of the adoption procedure, pursuant to Hawaiian law, Obama’s original Birth Certificate (BC) was sealed, and a new Birth Certificate was issued with his new name, Barry Soetoro, and the name of his new father, Lolo Soetoro.
4. Mother and son joined Soetoro in Indonesia, where Barry Soetoro was registered in school as Lolo’s son, a Muslim, and a citizen of Indonesia.
5. After approximately 4 years, Barry Soetoro returned to Hawaii as a U.S. citizen to live with his grandparents, the Dunhams, and attend private school.
6. At some point before his 18th birthday, he most likely changed his legal name back to Barack Hussein Obama, but his Birth Certificate would not have been modified again unless there was another adoption (by the Dunhams, for example).
Among the questions asked therein:
If any or all of these hypothesized facts are TRUE, why has Senator Obama deceived the American public, and will the public hold him accountable for the deceptions?

CONCLUSION
It is theorized that:
Barack Obama has misled the American people about his background and his identity. The deception involves an intentional initiative to conceal records related to his birth and his childhood. These records would demonstrate that he acquired Indonesian citizenship when his step-father, Lolo Soetoro, adopted him; he was a Muslim; his Birth Certificate is in the legal name of Barry Soetoro; and he may still hold Indonesian citizenship today.
Barack Obama has undertaken a concerted and systematic effort to alter, delete, or hide records about his personal and professional life. His secrecy is unprecedented among presidential candidates in American History.
What will our Democratic Party leadership do to ensure that a vetted candidate is nominated for President?

Of course, none of this makes sense.
And, going back to Obama being born elsewhere, it is possible that the birth was recorded at Vital Stats by Grandma Dunham immediately after Obama’s birth so he would be deemed an American citizen. Again, home births were still prevalent in the islands, so one merely went to the Vital Stats office to record the birth; I would venture that the hospitals provided access for that service as well.

If Obama was adopted by Lolo Soetero, and then decided to legally change his name back to Barack Obama as he entered adulthood, there would be a legal record of such a name change.
My theory: IMHO, Stanley Ann Dunham was “sent away” from Hawaii to have her “biracial”child, most likely to an unwed mother’s home in Canada. (Michelle Obama has referred to her mother-in-law as an unwed mother facing the challenges of a single mother in the early 60’s).
Upon calling or telegramming her parents in Hawaii, and possibly Barack Sr., either Barack Sr. or Grandma Dunham (perhaps both) went to one of the two hospitals to record the infant’s birth. Since Vital Stats supplies the list to the local paper weekly, this could account for the birth announcement that has been found.
Enroute “back” to Hawaii is the phrasing that Ann Dunham’s friend in Mercer Island WA used to describe Dunham’s visit with the infant Barack when he was just a few weeks old.
I again stress that air travel in 1961 was not what it is today, and it would not have been a realistic concept that the middle American family in Hawaii would have been letting their daughter and infant grandchild fly to WA for a vacation trip so soon after his birth; nor would the college student father from Kenya have afforded such a trip either. It goes back to having sent her away to have the child as opposed to going to the mainland for a trip after the child was born.

Janice made an excellent point in the campaign controversies thread that needs to be reiterated here.
Obama has obviously been had very comprehensive background checks done by the State Dept. in order to have access to secret information. As a Senator and Presidential candidate he has some level of security clearance, presumably at a very high level. Do you suppose that the federal government would have allowed any measure of security clearance if his citizenship or familial status were questionable? I think not.
You can theorize all you want, you can bring in ‘experts’ on both sides. Happens all the time in trials. Both sides hire experts to support their sides – and the ‘expert’ testimony is at odds.
You ask why did the AFL-CIO enter the fray on the COLB issue? Well, because people like Larry Johnson and Texas Darlin’ just keep fanning the flames and perpetuating myths that are unfounded. It’s called damage control.

Without disillusioning anyone, by virtue of their election to office of POTUS, the President is deemed to have qualified for security clearances.
**By definition, the president, high-level political appointees and certain members of Congress have access to high-level classified info. They do not have to undergo the clearance procedures that the rest of us peons do. Thats politics.**

Obama would not need outside sources for damage control if he simply had the original document provided. IF HIS WORDS, just words, are to be held as true in his books, he remarks about finding the original document at Grandma Dunham’s in his teen years. The AFL-CIO will do anything to make sure a liberal pro-union candidate enters the WhiteHouse, for the same reasons WalMart does not want such a candidate.
The issue cannot be so unfounded that the Registrar at Vital Stats has now confirmed Obama’s certificate on his website could have been a fake, given such facts as the lack of tri-fold marks to have the document fit in the mailing envelope used by the department; she further confirmed that they do not hand them over in the office; they are always mailed.
Simple solution: show the real document, explain whatever it is that has kept the campaign hiding it, and move on.

There is only one person (I can’t find his name, but he claims he is an expert, and against Obama) over at No Quarter that has a leg to stand on when it comes to saying the BC is legit. He says that he wants proof as to how Techdude came to his conclusions. Says he wants the programs and techniques he used. Legitimate questions no doubt, but to me, Techdude puts up a pretty good arguement that the document is a fake.
Just put out the document, Senator. Easy fix. Show it to reporters.

I’m wondering if Obama really understands the importance of the issue of determining whether he is eligible to run for POTUS.
Seems to me, he could have slapped a copy of a certified birth certificate on the table last night, and said “here is proof that I am eligible to run.”
But that makes sense, what am I thinking? Obama doesn’t want to put this issue to rest.

Obama understands the issue, and IMHO, there is a complexity of issues involved that the Obama team knew were there but thought they could slide by a fawning press.
Regardless of which theory turns out to be true on the birth certifcate issue, there is something there that is questionable, and its not that the parents may not have been married…. that would be minor in the scheme of things.
Obama has become narcissistic as well. “I am the Black Candidate, therefore you cannot question me; I will not sit to have you interview me; I do not have to address your concerns”.
